This is technically "the first book of the series", though I guess you could read the others first. You'll get the same timeline, but from different point of views.
At the bottom of every chapter, it will tell you what to read in correlation to the other book. That's just in case you want to read both at the same time, you can follow along easier.
Title explained: Psycho comes from the nickname that Luke had been given often by his ex friends. This is why you he reacts the way he does when Beatrice calls him one. He isn't technically psychotic, but in the end he basically lets the nickname get the best of him.
Cover explained: the cover is how Luke has been seen in Beatrice's light: loving and warm.
Beatrice explained: Beatrice grew up in Minnesota. Her family was borderline abusive growing up: her mother was caught cheating multiple times by her twin brother, and begged the brother to keep it a secret. He couldn't handle it, so he told Beatrice. They both shared the pressure until he exploded one day.
Their father allowed his wife one more chance as long as she promised to a fresh start in Australia.
