"If on that day, I had voiced out my feelings,
My life might have taken a different turn, but I didn't.
And now, here I am, watching everything slip away."

Rain started to cry loudly, unable to contain his feeling, as a slight ache gripped his heart. He collapsed onto the floor, curling his knees close to his chest, and buried his face in his hands.

He couldn't imagine the possibility that Phayu didn't remember him, and didn't remember the little love they shared. It was as if their moments together, their  newly formed connection, had been erased from Phayu's memory. The thought pierced Rain's soul like a dagger, tearing apart the fragile hope he clung to.

Despite the pain that he was feeling, Rain tried to control himself, not wanting to jump to conclusions before hearing from the doctor. But the fear gnawed at him relentlessly, as if someone is squeezing his heart.

What if Phayu really forgot him? What if their love meant nothing to him now, what if he would lose his love even before fully feeling and embracing it?

Rain couldn't stop crying. Tears rolled down his cheeks without stopping, showing how much pain and lost he felt. He cried for what seemed like forever, his sobs bouncing off the walls of the hospital washroom.

Finally, gathering every ounce of strength he had left, Rain splashed some water on his face, hoping to wash away the pain with the water that he was feeling. He took a deep, shaky breath, preparing himself for whatever happens. Though his heart ached with pain, he knew he couldn't afford to wallow in self-pity. He had to face the truth, no matter how much it hurt.

With trembling hands and a heavy heart, Rain wiped away the last drop of tears and pushed himself to his feet. Though his steps felt like lead, he forced himself to move forward.

He exited the washroom and started moving toward the room where phayu was in, every step was feeling so heavy. He never wanted the path leading to Phayu's room to end, as he wasn't ready to face the possibility of his fears coming true.

But the path felt too short, and now he found himself just outside the door. Taking a deep breath, he entered. Inside, he saw the doctor asking Phayu questions, Saifah standing on his right side, blocking Phayu's view, and Dao standing in front of the bed.

"What is the last thing you remember, Khun Phayu?" the doctor asked, noting down notes in a diary.

Rain held his breath, hoping Phayu's response would be what he wanted to hear.

Phayu remained silent for a moment, looking at everyone around him. He couldn't understand what was happening or why they were asking such questions.

"Why are you asking me these questions? Of course, I was at home," Phayu answered, his annoyance evident. Then, his eyes landed on Rain, his expression turning icy, completely cold and foreign, sending shivers down Rain's spine as if a chill wind had swept through the room.

Rain's body became almost numb, memories flooding back of the first time Phayu had looked at him with such a cold expression, holding a gun to his head, nearly ending his life. It was the same chilling gaze Phayu fixed upon him now.

"What were you doing at your home, Khun Phayu? May I know that?" the doctor asked cautiously, as he knows he is dealing with one of the most dangerous mafia figures.

"I was going out for Saifah's graduation, or where I can be," Phayu responded flatly, without any emotion as he stared at Saifah.

Saifah's expression changes instantly, his face loses all the color, he was totally in disbelief and confusion. How could that be possible? His graduation took place a year ago.
