"Why, Phayu? Why did you leave me like that in the hallway? You didn't even look back," Rain whispered softly, his voice trembling with a mix of confusion and hurt. "Why were you injured? And why were you in this condition?"

"Rain!" Phayu slowly opened his eyes as he felt someone's hand caressing his hair.

"Now you remember me, Phayu? Then why didn't you look back at me when you left me alone, jerking my hand off? You not only jerked off my hand but also my feelings and your feelings as well." Phayu could vividly see the sadness on Rain's face.

"No! No! It's not true, Rain. I... I... was..." Phayu's tiredness and the effect of alcohol took him over again.

"Sleep well, Phayu." Phayu could hear a faint voice, but he was too out of focus to comprehend it.

He felt a soft touch on his lips, as if a feather was brushing against them—soft, warm.

Phayu brought his finger close to his lips to get familiar with the touch.

"Rain!" Phayu's eyes widened as he made sense of his surroundings. He looked around and found himself in his room, in his own bed.

"Was that all a dream?" Phayu whispered softly.

"Ahhh! This headache? What did I do last night to get this strong headache?"

After thinking for a moment, events from last night came into his mind—how he went to the club and drank himself so much to lose his focus.

"Oh God, how could I be so reckless? This is not like me," Phayu thought to himself.

Phayu groaned as he sat up, the pounding headache making it hard to focus. He rubbed his temples, trying to alleviate the pain.

Phayu lay there for a moment, still processing the vivid dream that felt all too real, when he heard a gentle knock on the door. Granting permission to enter, he watched as Dao stepped inside, holding something in his hand.

Good morning, sir," Dao greeted him with a concerned tone. "I brought you something for the hangover. It might help with the headache."

Phayu nodded in appreciation, grateful for Dao's thoughtfulness.

"Thank you so much Dao"

"It was my duty, sir," Dao replied.

"I'm not talking about your duty, Dao. I'm talking about the way you've been there for me as a friend," Phayu said sincerely.

Dao smiled at Phayu and nodded his head. "I think you should take this medicine first." Dao handed him a glass of water and some pain relievers, which Phayu accepted gratefully. As he took the medicine, he couldn't shake off the lingering thoughts.

"Is there anything else you need, sir?" Dao asked, noticing Phayu's contemplative expression.

Phayu shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. "No, thank you, Dao. That will be all for now."

As Dao was about to leave, Phayu called him back.

"Dao," Phayu said, his brow furrowed with a sudden thought.

"Dao, has anyone else come into my room while I was asleep?" Phayu asked, a hint of unease in his voice.

Dao shook his head firmly. "No, sir. I've been the only one here since I brought you back last night."

Phayu felt a wave of relief wash over him. "Alright, thank you, Dao. That's all I needed to know."

Phayu was relieved because he could vividly remember Rain's sad face, how hurt he looked. If it's all a dream, then Rain is not sad and hurt because of Phayu.
