CHAPTER 34

"You want anything, tea or coffee?"Phayu glanced at Nick and asked.

"No, I'm good."

"You look very different Phii, you are looking more handsome now and dangerous." Rain said looking at Nick.

"But I'm still the same P'Nick to you, my little baby." Nick wanted to pinch rain's cheeks as rain was looking so cute like a baby, who has seen a new thing.

At the mention of "baby," Phayu raised an eyebrow and tightened his grip around Rain's waist, clearly showing his jealousy. Seeing Phayu's reaction, Rain laughed, he loves when phayu get jealous and possessive over little things.

"He's not your 'baby'," Phayu retorted through gritted teeth.

"Keep your jealous ass to yourself, he is still my baby brother." Nick said rolling his eyes.

"Did you just roll your eyes at me" Phayu raised his eyebrows.

Rain couldn't help but laugh when he saw phayu and Nick arguing over such a little thing, when phayu look at rain who was laughing, his heart immediately melted, and his irritation faded. Same with Nick.

Phayu then looked at nick and cleared his throat to get Nick's attention , "I don't want to fight and beat around the bush.

Interrupting Phayu, Nick quickly responded, "Neither do I."

Taking a deep breath to control his rising anger, phayu  continued "So, Why did you come here from Korea ? How do you know what's happening in my family?"

Nick looked between Phayu and Rain, then began, "Firstly, I never wanted to get involved in your family matters. I came here solely for my little brother's safety. He was in danger. Otherwise, I don't care even if your whole family were to vanish."

Rain could feel anger rising in phayu's body at Nick's word, he squeezed Phayu's hand reassuringly. He then turned to Nick, saying, "P'Nick, you can't say things like that. It's rude."

Nick retorted, "I'm just telling the truth. If it weren't for you being involved, I wouldn't have gotten mixed up in any of this."

"How did you know Rain was involved?" Phayu asked controlling his anger when he heard rain's name.

"Thanks to your enemies. They want to eliminate your entire family to seize control of the Thai mafia world. But they fail every time, so they come to me to help many times. I've always refused, but when I learned that Rain was close to your family and also a target for different reasons, I had to intervene. Not to help you,  but to save rain and take him away from danger." Nick said very casually.

Phayu looked at Nick with annoyance evident on his face. " Don't you even dare to think about taking rain away from here, and stop speaking in riddles?"

When rain sees phayu is again getting angry, he looks at Nick with pleading eyes and says, "P'Nick, please tell us everything."

Seeing his little brother's earnest expression, Nick softened. He took a deep breath and began to explain.

"A few months ago, my assistant informed me that someone influential from Thailand was trying to reach out for help. I immediately refused without giving it a second thought. I didn't want to involve myself with any other mafia groups unless they posed a direct threat to me. Despite my refusals, the requests kept coming. Then I found out that theerapanyakul mafia leader was in Korea for business. Around the same time, I started receiving threats and facing disruptions in my deals. Some deals even got cancelled without any proper reason and explanation".
