Rain feels his brain stop functioning. How could he be so wrong about someone? But it wasn't his fault, right? Everyone tries to snatch his boyfriend all the time, and Phayu is so handsome. Naturally, it came to his mind that this was happening again, and he reacted without considering other factors.

Now, thinking more clearly, he sees the happy look on Phayu's face, which is rare, but he still doesn't understand. Lost in his thoughts, someone shakes him to bring him back. He looks at the person and sees Phayu's worried face. When he turns to look at Pete, he sees the same expression. Realizing he hasn't been responding, his palms started to get sweaty. He starts thinking of ways to answer his soon to be father-in-law.

"I... He... Sorry... I..." Rain stutters, which is rare for him. He wasn't even this afraid of Phayu when they first met. He struggles to form any words, worried he might spoil things with phayu's father before they even start.

Suddenly, he feels a hand on his head. Pete is looking at him, smiling. "It's okay, son. Why are you so nervous? Are you afraid of me? Do I look that dangerous?" Pete asks calmly.

Rain immediately shakes his head. To ease the situation, Phayu hugs Rain to calm him down and chuckles, "It's okay, Rain."

Rain gains some confidence. He takes a deep breath and faces Pete. "I'm sorry, sir. I didn't know you were Phayu's paa, that's why I said all those things." Rain bows to ask for forgiveness.

Pete places a reassuring hand on Rain's shoulder. "It's okay, Rain. You were just protecting Phayu. I appreciate that," he says with a warm smile. "We all want to protect the people we love, and I know my son is quite handsome just like his father. He attracts many eyes, and there are many bees buzzing around him, so it's natural to protect what's yours." Pete winks at Rain.

Rain relaxes a bit, the tension easing from his shoulders. Phayu chuckles softly, pulling Rain closer. "See, it's not so bad," Phayu whispers to Rain, his voice filled with affection.

Pete continues, "You know, you are just like me. I also have to protect my husband all the time because people are always ready to throw themselves at him. You know, both son and father are so handsome." Pete winks at Rain again.

Rain's face turns a bit pink, but he manages a smile. "I just didn't want anyone else to take him away, especially after Cherry," he admits, a little anger in his voice.

"I never liked that girl from the very start, but I had to tolerate her. Thank God I don't have to see her face anymore, all thanks to you," Pete pats Rain's head again.

Phayu could see the fire in both Rain's and Pete's eyes when they talked about protecting their loved ones. "I can see you both share the same brain cells," he says, smirking.

The three of them start laughing, the awkwardness melting away. Pete looks at Rain with a twinkle in his eye. "You know, you're going to fit right in with this family. I can already tell."

Rain grins, feeling a warmth spread through him. "Thank you, sir. I'll do my best."

"Not sir. Now that you are my son's boyfriend, you should call me Paa," Pete proposes.

Rain just nods, as it's all so new for him.

Pete pats Rain's back. "Welcome to the family, Rain. You'll find we're a fun bunch."

The sound of shoes echoes in the empty dark corridor, followed by another set of footsteps. "So, why are we going there?" Saifah asks, showing Rain the way to the most restricted area of their house, heavily guarded by guards.

"I have some matters to settle," Rain says, his eyes dark and a creepy smile forming on his face. Soon, they reach their destination. The guards open the door, and they enter a room where screams can be heard from afar. The room reeks of blood. If it were before, Rain would have been scared, but staying with Phayu and learning more about his world and experience many things has made him fearless.
