Phayu managed to drive home, his head throbbing with pain, his face streaked with tears. This was one of those rare times when tears had escaped his eyes, and again it was for the same person, Rain. He stumbled out of the car, his steps unsteady. He could feel the eyes of the bodyguards on him, but he didn't give a fuck. Suddenly, he felt a hand on his shoulder. Looking up, he saw Dao, his face showing concern, asking something. But Phayu couldn't make out the words, his vision blurred with tears and pain. He shrugged off Dao's hand, murmuring for him not to follow, and made his way to his study.
Once inside, he opened a drawer and took out some pills, swallowing them in an attempt to ease the pounding in his head. But what about the ache in his heart? What medicine could possibly lessen that pain? Was there even a remedy?
He pressed his hand against his forehead, the weight of his thoughts pushing him down to his knees. Clenching his fist over his heart, as if trying to keep it from bursting out of his chest, he replayed everything in his mind. How could he have been so foolish? How could his heart betray him and fall for the same person again and again, even after losing his memories?
Thousands of questions were in his mind, Was everything Rain did for him at the hospital, at home, all an act? Was it all fake?
Yes, it was.
He remembered how Rain had left him alone in the morning, cold and lonely, while he enjoyed his time with his boyfriend, or rather, his ex-boyfriend.
Phayu's thoughts spiraled into a pit of misery. How could he have let Rain hurt him again? How could he have hurt himself by letting his guard down? His heart ached and the pain in Phayu's heart was too much to bear. It was like a heavy weight crushing him from the inside. In his desperation to escape this torment, he began to throw and break everything in his study. His hands shook with anger and sorrow as he swept books off shelves, smashed vases, and overturned furniture. Each crash and break was with full force so that his physical pain could take over the pain in his heart.
Amidst the chaos, Phayu stood, panting and shaking. The once neat study was now a mess, showing the condition as his heart. Sweaty and tired, he sank to his knees in the middle of the wreckage, tears streaming down his face.
The physical pain from the cuts on his hands and the tiredness from his outburst made the sharp ache in his heart fade for a moment. But when the adrenaline wore off, the emotional pain returned so again he started breaking things.
Rain was finding phayu everywhere, from his room to gym to every other room, suddenly the sound of things breaking caught Rain's attention as he rushed into the study. He was shocked to see Phayu in that condition. "Phayu, stop! You're hurting yourself!" Rain cried out, trying to stop him. But Phayu didn't listen and kept breaking things.
Desperate, Rain went close to Phayu and hugged him tightly. "Please, Phayu, stop! Don't hurt yourself! Why are you doing this?? Why did you run away from the cafe like that?" Rain sobbed, his tears mixing with Phayu's.
For a moment, Phayu stopped and listened to Rain's pleas. But he tried to push Rain away again. However, Rain held on, knowing Phayu might again hurt himself.
Rain looked into Phayu's eyes, shocked to see tears streaming down his face. Carefully, he reached up and wiped away Phayu's tears.
"Don't touch me!" Phayu shouted, attempting to push Rain away again.
But Rain held on, embracing him tightly. "Please, don't push me anymore. It hurts," Rain whispered, his voice trembling. He looked at phayu's face, Gently, he tiptoed and pressed a soft kiss on Phayu's lips, hoping to calm the storm raging within him.
But, Phayu pushed him with such force that he stumbled backward, falling onto his back and hurting his hand. With a look of anger and pain, Phayu knelt down, gripping Rain's chin roughly.
