Rain woke up in the morning, remembering the events from the night before. Everything felt surreal. After completing his morning routine, Rain relaxed and embraced the joy of his semester break. He prepared a breakfast of pancakes with chocolate for himself, then lazily lounged on the couch while continuing his series.
Unexpectedly, a message from Saifah appeared on Rain's phone, a simple "Hey, it's Saifah."
The spoon clattered onto the plate, Rain's mouth agape. Saifah reaching out again caught him off guard. Despite doubts about Saifah's status, Rain wanted their friendship to flourish. To his surprise, Saifah took the initiative.
Rain pondered his response before finally replying,
" Hey!".
"Was it too casual" Rain questioned himself, but the text had already been read on the other side.
Almost immediately, another text from Saifah arrived, "Would you like to go to lunch with me if you're free?"
Reading the text, Rain's breath hitched. Should he accept or make an excuse? Despite Saifah's background, Rain found him warm and calm.
Taking a deep breath, Rain replied, "Yes, I am free! We can go."
Suddenly, Rain wished he could bury himself as Saifah texted the time and mentioned picking him up. Despite Rain's intention to come by himself, Saifah insisted, and Rain reluctantly agreed.

Rain searched his whole cupboard and threw all the clothes here and there but could not find an appropriate outfit to wear on lunch.
Despite it being just lunch, Rain couldn't shake the excitement, having never been in a relationship before entering university.
It was really exciting for him as even if he tried to come in a relationship, he never had one.
When he entered university he never had a chance to come in any kind of relationship and he didn't have time for it.
"Ahhh, why is it so difficult to find clothes" Rain was so frustrated right now.
In the midst of the clothing chaos, Rain's frustration reached its peak. He couldn't fathom why finding the right outfit had become an arduous task, and the ticking clock only heightened his unease. Each passing second seemed to echo the beating of his anxious heart.
As he continued sifting through his wardrobe, a cascade of thoughts enveloped Rain. The notion of this lunch outing morphing into something resembling a "first date" sent a thrill through him. It was an unfamiliar yet exhilarating sensation, reminiscent of the nervous excitement that accompanies new beginnings.
Finally settling on an ensemble that struck a balance between casual and presentable.
"Uff, finally, this is the best" Rain thought himself looking at his outfit in the mirror.
Rain wear a white tshirt and pair it with black jacket with denim. He put in a little makeup to look more presentable.
The minutes dragged on, each one amplifying the butterflies fluttering in his stomach. Rain was waiting for saifah as he could come anytime.
As Saifah's car pulled up outside Rain's residence, the reality of the situation hit him like a sudden gust of wind. Nervously adjusting his chosen outfit one last time, Rain took a deep breath before stepping outside to join Saifah.
"Hello sweetie, you look beautiful" Saifah greeted rain opening the car door for rain.
Rain blushed at saifah's compliment "thank you" Rain said then sit in the car.
