As the silence lingered, Giovanni felt a surge of conflicting emotions coursing through him. On one hand, he wanted to shield his parents from the dangers and complexities of the underworld. They had worked hard to provide him with a safe and stable upbringing, and the thought of burdening them with this revelation weighed heavily on his conscience. On the other hand, he couldn't ignore the importance of honesty and transparency, especially when it came to building a life with Diablo.

Diablo squeezed his hand reassuringly, his eyes conveying support and concern. Giovanni drew strength from his mate's presence, knowing that they would face whatever challenges lay ahead together.

After a moment, Giovanni's resolve solidified. "We need to tell them," he said, his voice steady despite the tremors of uncertainty within him. "

My parents deserve to know the truth, and we owe it to them to be honest."
Diablo's father nodded solemnly, his expression reflecting both understanding and respect for Giovanni's decision. "Very well," he said, his tone gentle yet resolute. "We'll discuss this matter openly and honestly. At dinner"

As they walked back into the Ardsley household, Giovanni's heart pounded in his chest. The weight of the impending conversation hung heavy in the air, but he found solace in the reassuring grip of Diablo's hand. Luna's invitation to the kitchen was unexpected yet welcomed, offering a sense of familiarity in the face of uncertainty.

Diablo's father followed closely behind, his demeanor composed yet brimming with an air of solemnity. Giovanni could sense the gravity of the situation mirrored in the expressions of those around him.

Once inside the warm embrace of the kitchen, Giovanni took a deep breath, steeling himself for what lay ahead.

Diablo's hand never left Giovanni's, a silent reassurance amidst the storm of emotions raging within. As they settled around the kitchen table, Giovanni's parents regarded them with a mixture of curiosity and concern.

"Giovanni, Diablo," Luna began, his voice gentle yet tinged with apprehension, "there's something on your minds, isn't there?"

Giovanni exchanged a glance with Diablo, drawing strength from the unwavering support in his mate's gaze. With a steadying breath, he took the plunge.

"Yes, there is," Giovanni admitted, his voice steady despite the tumult of emotions threatening to overwhelm him. "There's something we need to tell you"

Diablo's father nodded solemnly, his expression a testament to the weight of their words. "It's time you knew the truth about who we are, about the Melendez family." diablo said.
Giovanni's parents exchanged a bewildered glance, their confusion palpable in the tense silence that followed. Yet, despite the uncertainty clouded the room, Giovanni felt a sense of resolve settle over him.

Taking Diablo's hand in his own, Giovanni braced himself for the conversation that would change everything.

"And what exactly does that mean" Leo Giovanni's father said with a dark tone very concerned for his only child's safety.

Giovanni could feel the tension crackling in the air as his father's gaze bore into him, demanding answers that he wasn't entirely sure of. He tightened his grip on Diablo's hand.

"It means," Diablo began, his voice steady despite the weight of the words he was about to utter, "that we come from a lineage deeply entrenched in a world you may not have known existed."
Camila, Diablo's mother, stepped forward, her expression grave yet tinged with a hint of relief at finally being able to speak the truth.

"The Melendez family has a history intertwined with the underground dealings of organized crime," Diablo spoke up and explained, his words hanging heavy in the air.

Leo's and Luna's eyes widened in shock, minds racing to comprehend the gravity of what they were hearing. "Organized crime?" Luna echoed, his voice barely above a whisper.
Diablo nodded solemnly.

"Yes, our family has been involved in various illicit activities for generations," he admitted, his gaze never wavering as he met his soon-to-be-in-law's incredulous stare.

Giovanni could sense the turmoil raging within his parents as they grappled with this newfound revelation. It was a lot to take in, he knew it, but he also believed in the strength of their family bond to weather this storm together.

"We understand if this changes things," Diablo said softly, his voice tinged with regret. "But we couldn't keep this secret. Not only do you deserve to know the truth. But there will also have to be some extra measures put in place."

Leo took a moment to process everything, his mind swirling with a myriad of emotions. Finally, he spoke, his voice tinged with a mixture of concern and determination.

"No matter what, you're still our son, and as long as Diablo keeps you safe I have no objections. While I am still confused about the situation as a whole. I can already tell that me trying to interfere and break up your growing relationship apart would do no good. " he said firmly, his gaze unwavering as he looked at Giovanni and Diablo.

As Giovanni's father reassured him and Diablo of his unwavering support, Giovanni felt a floodgate of emotions burst open within him. Tears welled up in his eyes, blurring his vision as he struggled to contain the overwhelming surge of feelings that threatened to consume him. He buried his face in his hands, his body trembling with the intensity of his emotions.

"What's wrong, Giovanni," Diablo said with concern lacing his voice unsure of what brought on the sudden stream of tears. Wrapping his arms around his mate in a comforting embrace.

Luna approached Giovanni, her touch gentle as she placed a hand on his shoulder. "Oh honey what's wrong," he said softly.

Unable to hold back any longer, Giovanni allowed himself to surrender to the tidal wave of emotions crashing over him. He sobbed unabashedly, his tears mingling with a mix of relief, fear for what's next, and gratitude. "I'm just so happy" He sobbed out.
