Hi! This is another one that slightly bends the original storyline. It focuses more on Faith than the actual case behind this episode.

I couldn't sleep, Dean and I had picked Sam up from the funeral, he seemed in good spirits. We drove around for a while before settling in Maryland and calling it a night at the first motel we could find. Dean headed back out to go pick us up some food and Sam was in the shower so I led down processing the last few days. Apparently Ellen was fuming with Dean and based on the way he was acting, I assumed he'd had an argument with Jo. I texted her on the way back to check she was okay and she'd replied with a smiley face and told me to drop by soon so that we could hang out.

"Rough case?" Sam asked, stepping out of the bathroom, pulling a T-shirt over his head. I nodded and sat up on the bed. He walked over and sat on the end smiling at me. We seemed to have worked through the argument we'd had previously, I was willing to forget about it and so we just moved on as if it never happened. He nodded down to my bandaged arm and I chuckled, telling him about how it had happened.

"Deans been gone a while, maybe we should go ch-" He was cut off by the motel room door busting open, I jumped startled and Sam reached out grabbing my arm protectively. A group of SWAT members burst in holding rifles and my breath got caught in my throat as Sam held his hands up in surrender, I copied. We stood up slowly and allowed the team to put us in handcuffs.

"Sam?" I asked and he shook his head at me and muttered a sorry before he was pulled out into the night. A male officer gripped my arm tightly and dragged me out behind. My heart was pounding in my chest the entire time. What the hell was going on?
...

I sat at a desk, in a police station office, my head in my hands. I didn't know how long I'd been sat there for, it felt like hours. The door opened and a man entered, he held a cup in one hand which he placed down in front of me and a file in the other which he kept close to his chest.

"Faith Hartley, your parents- Diane Hartley and Joseph Hartley. Mother died when you were a baby and Dad disowned you. You grew up with your grandmother, went to med school and up until a few weeks ago were working a steady job as an intern, working to become a doctor." The man slammed the file down on the table but I kept my eyes on him. "What happened a few weeks ago to lead you astray with the Winchesters?"

I swallowed and looked down at the file. It was labelled Winchester and I brought my hands down to my lap, placing them between my thighs nervously.

"Why am I here?" I asked, my face must've been a picture of fear because I noticed the man's features soften slightly and then he pointed at the cup of coffee he had given me. I shook my head, I was thirsty but I didn't want to touch it, I was too scared.

"You've been travelling with the Winchesters?"

I nodded, afraid to speak.

"Well Dean Winchester is being held on suspicion of murder, his brother a potential accomplice. You? I'm still trying to figure out how you fit into the mix."

I looked around the room, it seemed like a pretty standard interrogation room. There was a window behind me, a door before me and a mirror to my right. I wondered whether it was one of those fake mirrors that you see in cop shows, and whether someone was watching me from the other side. The thought just made me feel even more unsettled.

"Murder?" I said, genuinely surprised. Sam and Dean killed monsters, not people.

"You sound shocked." He said raising his eyebrow. "How well do you know these boys? What's your relationship to them?"

I swallowed. "They're my friends." I said mustering as much courage as I could.

The man laughed. "Well maybe you should re-evaluate your threshold for friendship. Dean Winchester is a killer. He killed and tortured multiple young women in St Louis and then faked his death. Then you appear on the radar." He stopped to take a breath. "Were you his next victim?" He asked himself.
