When I woke up, the car was parked under a tree and just outside was a fence and past that a small lake. Sam and Dean were stood outside of the fence, a beer in hand and I looked to my side and saw a beer next to me, a post it note attached. For sleepyhead.
I grinned and shook my head, my mouth was dry but not dry enough to wake up and drink a beer. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, it was pretty warm in here. Dean had left the heating on. I opened the door quietly and stepped out having a stretch, all my limbs were achy from being bundled up in the back seat. I began walking over to the boys but stopped, noticing their mannerisms were nothing alike welcoming.
"That I'd have to kill you. He said that I might have to kill you, Sammy." Dean shouted, Sam stepped backwards at the words and I widened my eyes. This was not the sort of interaction I needed to be a part of. I climbed back into the car and checked my phone, finally having signal. I had four messages from Jo, and many missed calls, I quickly dialled her back.
"Faith? Where have you been?"
I scoffed. "Rough case, how you been?"
"I'm good, Ash has found some more information on that John Doe you've been looking for. You able to come down any time soon, it's pretty important." Her voice sounded urgent, and I nodded slowly.
"Jo, is everything alright?"
"Yeah, everything's fine. It's just- something doesn't add up and I don't want to sit on this information alone."
I looked back out the window at Sam and Dean, they were arguing and I rolled my eyes. I squinted at a road marker and sighed. "I'm in Wyoming, I'll be with you later on tonight." I ended the call and then braced myself to interrupt the argument between the boys. I started walking over and caught some more of their heated discussion.
"We've just got to figure out what's going on, then, what the hell all this means." Sam turned around and paced away from his brother.
"We do? I've been thinking about this, I think we should just lay low. You know? At least for a while. It'd be safer. And that way I can make sure-"
I continued walking, despite not wanting to have any part in this. I hated confrontation.
"What? That I don't turn evil? That I don't turn into some kind of killer?" Sam turned around and shouted at his brother, as he did he made eye contact with me alerting Dean of my presence.
"Evil?" I asked, now I did want to be a part of this conversation because whatever concerned Sam in the sense of the yellow eyed demon, concerned me as-well.
"I never said that." Dean said looking between the pair of us.
"Jeez, if you're not careful you will have to waste me one day, Dean." Sam started shaking his head. "Turns out our dad knew a bit more than he let on, told Dean that he might have to kill me."
I swallowed and stepped forward beside Dean, giving him a comforting stare. Sam frowned at me. "Look, whatever your dad knew, what he said, it doesn't mean it's true. It's not worth getting angry at Dean-" Sam scoffed interrupting me.
"You know that means he'll have to kill you too!" He shouted.
"I never said that! Damnit, Sam, this whole thing is spinning out of control. All right? Faith is immune to some weirdo demon virus, you both have strange abilities that came from god knows where and I don't even know what the hell anymore. And you're pissed at me, I get it. That's fine, I deserve it. But we lay low until we figure out our next move, okay?"
Sam shook his head and started walking away, back to the car. He climbed into the back seat, obviously not wanting to be beside his brother. Dean sighed and rubbed his face stressfully and I grabbed his arm gently.
