"You lost the colt?"
I narrowed my eyes at Sam, and then at Dean who just looked at the ground sheepishly. It had been a few hours since Dean and I had admitted our feelings, I wanted to savour in the moment but we had to get back to work. There was a list of things we needed to do, apparently, Dean's deal contract was being held by a different demon, not the usual crossroads kind so we needed to find out who that was. Then we needed to figure out how the hell I was awake, who or what woke me up and on top of all of that, try and figure out what to do about Lilith, the demon after Sam and I. And all of this would be impossible without the colt.
"We didn't lose it, it was stolen from us." Sam said nervously and I just sighed, plopping down on the couch beside my father.
"Any leads on Bela?" My dad asked letting out a sigh and both boys shook their heads. I looked over to him and raised my eyebrow. "You know her?"
He nodded. "Butted heads a few times, most recently when I found out she shot you."
I smiled and looked back over to the boys, Bobby slammed his hand down on the desk. "I've got her."
He stood up and walked over handing an address to Dean. "Lugosi, checked into this motel two days ago."
I stood up and grabbed my jacket, wrapping it over my shoulders. Dean grabbed my arm and shook his head. "I don't think so."
I frowned at him and scoffed. "Seriously?" I looked over to my father who just shrugged.
"It's only Bela, you two go and I'll stay here and work on tracking down this Lilith." Sam said and I smiled at Dean before snatching his keys and skipping out of the house. I hopped straight into the drivers seat, and ran my fingers over the steering wheel. It was nice to be back in the car I spent most of the last two years in, it just felt familiar. The door beside me opened and Dean pushed in, sliding me over to the passenger side as he did. I rolled my eyes and reluctantly handed him the keys. "Just because I said I love you doesn't mean you can drive my car."
He started the car up and began driving, the motel was in Colorado, a 9 hour drive, maybe 7 with Deans driving. After around two hours we stopped at a gas station, Dean filled the car up and then came back in with some snacks for the road.
"You say you spoke to Ruby?" He asked and I nodded, he looked at me knowingly and I frowned, unsure what he was trying to say with his eyes. "She tell you that she lied?"
I swallowed the bite of jerky and nodded slowly. "Yeah, she said that she can help me help you, pretty cryptic on the how though."
He raised his eyebrow. "She said the same thing to Sammy. She can't be trusted."
I pressed my lips together and nodded. She couldn't be trusted, that was for sure but Dean only had a few months left, and I really didn't want to lose him.
"When you were in the coma, could you hear anything?"
I shook my head. "No, it was just like I went to sleep for a long time."
"You spoke to Jo? Or Ellen?"
I shook my head. "Not yet, I didn't want to freak too many people out at once."
He sighed and reached out, placing his hand on my leg as he drove, like he was afraid to let go. We drove the rest of the way to the motel like that, avoiding having to talk about what was going on around us.
...I kicked down the motel room door and rushed in with my gun extended, after checking all the rooms were empty I walked back to Dean who had his eyebrow raised. He stepped inside and closed the door behind him. "That was hot."
