Kris pov
It started off as a light drizzle but quickly began to pour down, drenching us in seconds. We quickly grabbed our things and ran into an abandoned cabin.
"Man, there's no way we'll get home in this weather" Susie huffed, her hair dripping wet.
"Here let me dry you off" I reached out and dried her hair with a towel. We were pretty close. Almost too close.
"Looks like we'll be staying the night" birdly cut me out of my thoughts "not to worry everyone. I've played many survival games so I have the tools to help us survive this endeavour"
"Relax birdbrain. We're only staying here a night remember" Susie rolled her eyes.
"Just kill my dreams why don't you" birdly grumbled.
"Still we should try and keep warm. Everyone will get sick at this rate" ralsai lit a fire "there. Does everyone feel better now?"
We all huddled around the fire "This is kinda cosy. The perfect atmosphere for some spooky stories"
"Noelle this is hardly the time for-"
"Alright nerds" Susie cut birdly off, holding a flashlight under her face "it was a cold and scary night. A young group of teens were venturing through the woods when they heard a twig snap! They turned around to see a horrifically cool monster who ate their faces off" we all stared at her unamused "what?"
"Susie that story was about you" I pointed out.
"Yeah and what's scarier than me" she pointed to herself proudly.
"That story was mid ter at best" birdly shook his head"Noelle can tell a much scarier story"
"That dainty little girl. I don't think so " she folded her arms.
"Noelle show her" birdly handed her the torch. Noelle nodded and stood up.
"Our story begins with a beautiful young woman. She was loved by every man she met and that made her husband very jealous. One day he came home and slit her face into a grizzly smile. Now no one will think you're beautiful he said. Till this day it's said that you can still see her ghost wondering about. If she approaches you and asks if she's beautiful you must say yes for if you don't she'll give you a smile just like hers"
"Holy shit" Susie muttered.
"I told ya" birdly grinned "Noelles the scary story queen"
"Well I tip my hat to you your highness" Susie bowed, making us all laugh.
Despite our rotten luck we still ended up having fun.
