I could hear the light snores of my friends. They were fast asleep, surrounding me in an awkward circle but I couldn't sleep a wink.
A guilty feeling rested in the pit of my stomach. These people. They're all so wonderful, so kind and yet I've been using them for my selfish desire to not feel alone. I'm a awful human being.
I looked down at their sleeping figures. Susie was sprawled out on the floor like a starfish, Noelle held her hands delicately on her chest, ralsai was curled up in a ball and birdly was sleeping upside down. I chuckled softly. They all look so cute!
When I lay back down a frown returned to my face. I stared up at the ceiling deep in thought. They all had so many wonderful attributes. Ralsai was kind and cared for just about anyone he came across. Susie was mean but she wasn't cruel. She was also incredibly loyal. If you take the time to see the real her she'd be your ride or die for life. Noelle is sweet and sees the best in the worst of people. Birdly's a kind and loyal kid even if he comes off a little socially awkward. All of them would make amazing partners...
But I can only choose one.
I shook my head firmly. Get it together Kris! It's about time you stopped leading them on. On the day of the carnival I'm going to confess to one of them..
