It's just before halftime when they watch her go down with a head injury causing Lia to immediately lean forward in an attempt to get a better look. The blonde is lying motionless on the pitch surrounded by the girls as the medics are immediately waved onto the pitch by the referee. She watches as Emily instantaneously begins to make the sub sign towards the bench where Jonas and his team spring into action to decide just who is going to replace the defender.

'Go on down and check on her, love... Holly and I will be fine staying here with the babies.' Amanda says softly, her hand reaching out to rest on the brunette's shoulder.

'A-Are you sure?' Lia asks, glancing back at the red head before turning her attention back to the blonde who remains on the pitch shielded from view by the other players and their medic team.

'Just give me a text and let me know how she is, yeah?' Amanda replies and Lia nods her head. Immediately she stands up and rushes out of the stand and down the stairs in the direction of the home changing room. By the time she's made it to the changing room, they're bringing Leah into the medical room on the stretcher.

'Lia...' Leah mumbles reaching her hand out causing the brunette to brush her fingers against hers.

'I'm right here... Just let them look you over.' Lia says softly. She feels Rose gently place her hand on her shoulder as she watches the rest of the medical team working around the blonde, carrying out all the tests they need to.

'We think it's a pretty nasty concussion... She took quite the hit and she's going to have a nasty black eye in the morning. She was given some oxygen on the pitch as a precaution but she has been talking to us, she's not been overly confused so they're all good signs.' Rose explains and Lia nods her head. She spends a few minutes just watching the blonde lying on the bed. It's not too long before she watches the medical team slowly help her sit up on the bed.

'Hey, you...' Lia says softly as she watches the blonde's eyes dart around the room before settling on her.

'Hey...' Leah replies smiling slightly, her left eye is already beginning to bruise slightly as a result of the clash of heads.

'So it is looking like a case of a nasty concussion, Leah. I want to keep an eye on you throughout halftime and then if I'm happy with your vitals and stuff, you'll be able to get yourself a shower and changed once the girls are all back on the pitch.' Georgina explains.

'Thanks, G.' Leah replies quietly. Most of the medical team go back pitch-side while the rest potter around the medical room, keeping an eye on the blonde while also attempting to give the couple some privacy.

'You are forever scaring the living daylights out of me when you're on that pitch, Le... I swear I'm going to wrap you up in bubble wrap.' Lia says shaking her head as she makes her way over and wraps her arms around the blonde.

'Where are the cubs?' Leah asks quietly as Lia gently runs the brush through the blonde's wet hair.

'Upstairs with your mum and Holly... They're absolutely fine, both were absolutely fast asleep when I came down.' Lia replies.

'How are the girls doing?' Leah asks as Lia begins to carefully braid her hair in an attempt to keep it out the blonde's face.

'It's 2-1 at the moment... They'll pull it back though.' Lia replies causing the blonde to sigh. Lia drapes her arms over the blondes shoulders as the she leans back around her chest and closes her eyes.

'My head hurts.' Leah admits.

'Mm... Probably will for a few days, love.' Lia replies softly.

'I'm not going home on the bus today.' Leah says quietly causing the brunette to nod her head.
