The group is just outside the C.D.C. still standing in the light from the open doorway.
"Daryl, you cover the back." Shane orders him.
"Hello? Hello" Rick calls out.
"Anybody here?" Rose calls out as well.
"Close those doors. Watch for walkers." Dale states to them.
The group enters and looks around at the lobby. It's completely empty.
"Hello?" Rick calls out again.
A Gun cocking is heard.
Jenner is standing in a doorway, a rifle in his hands.
"Anybody infected?" Jenner asks.
"One of our group was. He didn't make it." Rick tells him.
"Why are you here? What do you want?" Jenner asks.
"A chance." Rick answers.
"That's asking an awful lot these days." Jenner tells Rick.
"I know." Rick says.
Jenner looks at every one.
"You all submit to a blood test. That's the price of admission." Jenner says to them.
"We can do that." Rick says with Rose nodding in agreement.
Jenner lowers his weapon.
"You got stuff to bring in, you do it now." Jenner tells them. "Once this door closes it stays closed."
Rose looked at Jenner in confusion, wondering what he meant by that last part. She doesn't have time to question as Daryl pats her to go grab her stuff.
Once everyone got there stuff, they all run through the doors and follow Jenner into an elevator.
The elevator beeps.
"VI, seal the main entrance. Kill the power up here." Jenner orders.
Rattles, clangs are heard and than some beeps.
"Rick Grimes." Rick introduces himself.
He puts his hand out for Jenner to shake. Jenner looks away.
"Dr. Edwin Jenner." Jenner introduces himself.
The Elevator is humming.
"Doctors always go around packing heat like that?" Daryl asks.
"There were plenty left lying around. I familiarized myself. But you look harmless enough." Jenner says to the group, he than turns to Carl, "Except you, I'll have to keep my eye on you." Jenner teases with smile as Carl smiles back at the doctor.
Jenner than Chuckles. When he looks away the smile on his face dies. Rose catches that and just looks at the doctor in confusion.
Out of the elevator Jenner leads them down a hallway.
"Are we underground?" Carol asks.
"Are you claustrophobic?" Jenner asks her.
"A little." Carol admits.
"Try not to think about it." Jenner tells her.
They enter the large darkened space Jenner had been in before.
"VI, bring up the lights in the big room."
Jenner commands.
Humming, beeping are heard by the group.
"Welcome to Zone 5." Jenner welcomes the group.
"Where is everybody? The other doctors, the staff?" Rick asks.
