The next morning the kid seemed in better spirits, but I, and probably everyone else, could tell that he still held sadness in his eyes. But who can blame him? The only father he knew died. Even I can understand that that is a shaky topic for him. It doesn't matter if something like that happened a day ago or the year before. Those type of things last in someone's heart.

Walking outside I look up at the bright sun. How can it shine so bright when all there is, is darkness down here? But that's just my negative side I guess.

'Tsukiko, someone we know is nearby.' Closing my eyes I listen to Ryujin. He was right though. Earlier on I had noticed it, but at the time I was more concerned with other things.

"Have any idea why they're here?" I ask aloud seeing as no one was in sight.

'It might have something to do with the mission the white-haired man spoke about. If you have to fight, I will prevent you.' I frowned at him. Sometimes it was hard having him around.

"Listen-" I was cut off by a yawn from behind me.

"Listen to what?" Sakura came from behind me, Sasuke coming up to stand beside me, not saying anything.

"The sea. It's beautiful, isn't it? Calming if I had to put a word to it." I walked away from them leaving them with questioning looks on their faces.

'That was close.' Chuckling to myself I leaned up against the side of the house. You're right, we have to be careful.

"Is everyone ready?" Kakashi comes out of the house looking at all of us.

"Isn't Naruto coming?" Sakura asks once Kakashi came out.

"He used up a lot of his chakra yesterday and is resting." With that, we headed to where the bridge builder was building his bridge. Though this was a pretty boring mission, if it got me to Konoha I would do anything.

Kicking a stone on the road we walked to the bridge, but something cold was in the air. Reaching the bridge, it was covered in a thick mist and people were passed out on the ground.

'My lady, it seems like they are here.' This is not good. He will know me. Should I fight? 'If he does recognize you, you can fight. Your identity has to be hidden.' Nodding I get into a defensive position.

"So you're here?" A voice spoke from within the mist, his face coming into view.

"Sasuke! Sakura! Protect the bridge builder!" They both jump into a protective stance around Tazuna.

"Kiko you-" Kakashi started to say something about me when a laughing voice comes from the man.

"I can't believe it's you! Haven't seen you in a couple years. How's-" I lunged forward at him avoiding Kakashi's outstretched hand that would have prevented me from attacking the man.

"I know. Haven't seen you in a long time Zabuza." Everyone looks at me stunned as I take out a kunai and playfully fight him.

They can't know anything. I have to stop Zabuza from saying anything or it could cause major problems for me.

"So where is Haku? I'm sure the kid has gotten stronger." I say grinning.

"Good to see you Tsukiko." Haku's voice comes from my right almost distracting me.

Laughing we keep on fighting, only stopping for a moment to breathe.

"I wish I could catch up with you two, but you see that man over there." I point over in the direction of Tazuna. "I can't let you kill him." Zabuza raises an eyebrow at me before outright laughing.
