My stay will be prolonged in Konoha for the time being. Until the Chunin exams I'll be here. But even after talking about everything with the Hokage, I still feel very uneasy. Something was coming even closer.
"So since you won't be participating in the chunin exams the Hokage wants you to help out during the exams." Kakashi looked up from his sheet with a bored look and I could tell that he had no idea why the Hokage would do this. Guess he wasn't told that it was my reason for staying.
"Don't worry Kakashi." Was all I said before walking away. For once, since a long while, I wanted to summon Ryujin to train.
Heading far out into the woods, outside of the city walls, I find the most quiet spot as I can and begin. Performing the hand signs for the summoning, I place my hand on the ground and wait for the big puff of smoke that comes next. When it didn't I got worried.
"What's your problem Ryujin!!!" I said annoyed.
'I happen to not want to come out right now'
"You've got to be kidding me." I rubbed my temple in frustration. "Not even for training?" I tempted him.
'Maybe.. Maybe for a little bit.' I smiled to myself for winning that battle.
Performing the hand signs once more I summon Ryujin only to be once again amazed at his beauty. He was like a shimmer in the sky that you couldn't even be sure was real. It was always strange seeing him like this since it doesn't compare to his personality. But all the same he is a creature of beauty and wonder.
"Want to try the combining?" He gave me a dragon grin before circling around me. 'Dear now that I see you in person, I can clearly see that you have changed.' I look at him questionably, but ignore his statement.
"So are we doing it or not?" He laughed before circling around me going faster and faster, lifting me high into the sky. When he circled me back down, he was no longer there, but combined with me.
He had become a armor of sorts around my body, except it had a few extra bonuses and abilities than just regular armor. For one it came with a set of red tipped horns on top my head. The dress like armor then flowed down my body, shaping perfectly over it in gold and red. My back was then occupied by a set of five white and red wings representing the five elements.
It was truly an honor to have the dragon god spirit with me. If it wasn't for him I would have been left all alone with no family and no where to go. He practically raised me. It might have just been in my head for a year or two, but once I knew how to summon it became even better. I honestly don't know what I would have done without him.
'It seems that you have finally learned how to completely control the change. Power wise still might be difficult, but you've come a long way.' I smiled at hearing that.
"You're right. I have to admit that I wouldn't have gotten this far without you. Now let's see the damage that we can do!" I jumped into the air, forming energy into my hand.
Once I had created a large enough energy ball, I threw it at a nearby cliff causing the entire thing to crumble down to a bunch of rubble. Falling back to the ground I start to pant at how much energy that had taken out of me.
"I always seem to forget that your powers always take up so much energy!" I said plopping down to the ground exhausted.
'Or maybe you just used too much of it. You should learn to control it more precisely.' I sigh at hearing that. The same old lectures of not destroying to much and controlling the power. I mean it's harder than it looks.
Seeing the sun reach it's peak, I decide that it's time that I head back to Konoha. In only a couple hours the first exam starts. And for some reason that oddly scared me.
