We returned back home, while Chise took care of me. I slept three days through, feeling horrible. It took an entire week to recover from the mission, if it wasn't for Chise and Silky, it would have taken longer.
I helped Chise with the gardening, while Ruth sat nearby enjoying the sun. We had to take care of some roses she got from an old man, who passed away recently. We had to plant them elsewhere, to get them enough sunlight, as they began to wilt already. "N/A, could you take care of the one over there?" she asked me and I took a larger part of a rosebush into my hands, carrying it to the area she pointed to. I looked at the flowers with a sad look. I didn't like it when they wilt.
While Chise had her back to me, I touched the flower buds tenderly. I hope you will bloom again, I thought, before heading to the young mage. "Okay, this is the last one." She said, holding it towards me. I grabbed them looking at her concerned "Chise, will it take a long time for them to bloom again?" She smiled at me "If ye do it right, they will in a few months." Good news!
"Okay, so I get ...them...eh?!!!" I dropped the bush in shock "Chise?" She looked at me, as she followed my finger, to where I pointed to. "How?" she stopped, standing beside me with her mouth open.
Before us was a massive rosebush in its full glory. The roses were large, the color was strong and shiny and the smell...was intoxicating. Although, it was the same bush I had just planted a minute ago, so how could it recover so soon?
"N/A, what did you do?" she asked surprised. I didn't know myself and shook my head "I thought the garden had some kind of magic you use to make them bloom" I suggested of how it happened. She told me that the garden is like anybody else and holds no magic. One fairy nearby has the answer for us, it's someone Chise knows very well "Ariel, have you seen what happened?" The fairy was flying around me sitting on to my shoulder "I have indeed..." it said smiling "...the blessed child gave life to the bush." "I did?" I looked at the Ariel, while pointing at me. "A goddess gift is to give life... and to take it" the Ariel flew down onto my hand touching the tattoos. It pointed at the first "This is to be able to see all kinds of creature, hidden by the human eye..." then she went down to the next ring "and this is to give the nature the help to live." "And this?" I asked, referring to the last ring.
The Ariel giggled "This is a secret...for now." I puffed up my cheeks "meanie!"
She came closer to me whispering into my ear "All I can say is that the last one could be counted as a saint or as a curse to you." Once it was gone, Chise came over to me "Are you alright?" She said I would look a little pale in the face. She led me to the garden chair and got me a glass of water. While she was away, I inspected my wrist. "The last one...a saint...or a curse" I said quietly, not feeling well with the news.
