13. Sacrifice

I didn't like it.

The next week, they kept avoiding me. Only Silky kept me company. Whenever I tried to ask them of what they are up to or why they don't talk to me, they simply ignored me. If it wasn't for Ruth I wouldn't have known how bad this situation is. He informed me about the visit to the witches and that they can't do anything about it.

But there was more.

I couldn't tell that Ruth was hiding something from me. "Ruth, tell me what is Elias up to?"

"Why Elias?"

"He said he would find a way to stop the curse...no matter what. What did he mean by that?"

As I threatened him to tell Chise about it, he stopped resisting "Okay, to get this curse of Chise, she would need a new body."

"You mean a sacrifice?"

"You can say that"

Ruth got tiny as I yelled at him "How could Elias do this to her? Is he insane?!"

"He wants to help her... I don't like it either but...hey N/A. where are you going?"

What do you think? I warn Chise about it, before it is to..."

Slap!!!!!!

Before I could finish my sentence, something had hit my neck. Darkness was the last thing I could see.

"Elias!" The mage was now holding two girls in his arms, looking at the scared dog.

"Sorry N/A, it is best you don't tell her. Ruth we will do this in my study."

The mage brought me to his bed, as the other girl was used for his spell. I didn't see her, so I can't tell who he will sacrifice for it.

Neither did I know of what had happened at the time. Chise found out about it herself and stopped it. She was so furious, that she hit Elias and left the mage on his own.

I woke up hours later, getting nursed by Silky.

"Where is Elias?" she shook her head no. Thankfully, Ruth came back to check on me "N/A are you alright?" "Just a little headache, where is Elias?"

"Chise left him, she found out about this. Elias went after her."

"What about you?"

"She refuses to take contact with me, I am not even able tell where she is."

"Let's hope Elias finds her. She is in no condition to disappear like that."

Ruth waited for me, as I get myself ready. We both left the house and went after the mage "Ruth, do you have his scent?"

He smelled the air, looking in one direction "He went that way!"
