A month had passed. Chise was now fully recovered from her injury. She minute she woke up, Elias was besides her, hugging her tight. "I am glad you are okay" he said, rubbing his skull against her head. Everything went to the way it was, until Chise remembered the thing with Stella. An argument broke out, even though Silky came in to greet her, it didn't stop Elias to continue the fight.

The next day, they finally get along.

He gave her freedom and she promised him not to break any rules he gave her. Chise's arm turned into her original arm, only in black. The curse was now sleeping inside her, but it might return to her someday. The same goes for the boy, Cartaphilus. He is sleeping in the bottom of the well. The young mage visits him on regular terms to replace the glass of water. He was also sleeping peaceful, but also for a limited of time. No one knows when they would return.

But he wasn't the only thing she visits every day.

Elias and Chise both go to the area, near the forest, where several roses are blooming in all kind of different colors. In between was a stone...with my name on it. Yes, I died that day. My gift was to give life; in return, I will lose mine. This was my last gift I had; the third tattoo on my wrist was this trade. I realized now, why they called it a saint...and a curse.

Unlike Chise, Elias is visiting me more often. He wished he could shed tears like Chise, but he can't. His chest tightened whenever he gazed over the stone, reading my name. It was still hard for him to process the fact...that I was no longer among the living. But at the same time, he was relieved. Not only that I managed to give the curse and Cartaphilus the peace they needed, but also that I gave his bride a new chance to live. But this time, he makes sure that she will take good care of this life.

On the day of the funeral, everyone came over, including all kinds of creatures. Under them were also the king and queen of all fairies. Titania assured to Elias, that I wasn't gone forever. I would always be there for them. No one believed that though.

By the end of the day, my grave was announced as a holy place for all creatures to visit. Spriggan, the guard of the queen, made sure that this place was removed from bad spirits.

He gave Silky a piece of paper, looking back at the ancient mage "Orders from King Oberon, follow the instructions on the first day of spring." Chise looked at it, questioning Elias about it. He seems to be confused "Quite a complicated procedure for a traditional cause. But we will try our best to fulfill the king's wish." The red headed girl nodded, pointing at the third step on the paper "It says, we have to place roses....can we use the ones from N/A's grave?"

"From what I can see, all the things we need can be taken from her grave...I am sure she won't mind that."
