On their way through the forest, they felt uncomfortable.

Since it was the day of the gods, they have to be careful. Remembering the last time, where they have met me, didn't help either. Elias told them to walk slower, not to attract any attention to themselves.

The forest was beginning in to bloom again. On the ground where several flowers, awaking from the long lasting winter and the trees, revealing their leaves to the sunlight. This way, the forest was like any other. Or so they thought. Elias heard something, telling the other two to hide quickly. As Chise was about to follow the mage close behind, she tripped over the root of the tree...making a loud sound. "Oww" "Shhh, keep quiet Chise" whispered Ruth, helping her up in his human form.

It was too late.

A creature, looking like a black ghost headed towards the sound. Ruth panicked and began to bark at the black thing. Instantly, there were more of them, surrounding now all three. "This is bad, these are the guards of the gods. Don't fight them, just don't move a muscle." I was a dangerous situation. Ruth asked Elias of what these ghost could do to them, the answer made him tense up in fear "One touch and you fall to dust. The only thing that can help us now...is a bright light."

As on cue, something else headed their way, shining lighter than the sun.

The guards hissed at the light, hiding in the shadows...into the deepest part of the forest. Once they were all gone, the three breathed out in relief. But Chise had a problem. She had hurt her leg at the tree, bleeding a little. "Typical you, getting hurt again" sighted Ruth. Elias licked her leg clean. They all jumped at the sound of someone giggling.

"You never learn...do you Chise?"

I couldn't be, thought Elias. The voice was familiar to them all. Before them stands...a goddess, with her long wavy hair, matching to her long dress. She kneeled before the young mage, holding her hand out. Plants were going around her wounded leg covering it for a minute. As they withdraw, the wound was fully healed. But this wasn't what surprised Chise the most...it was the goddess she saw before her.

Only one word came to her lips "...N/A?"

"Hello Chise" I replied. "But how?" asked Ruth, completely shocked. "How?...that I became a goddess? Remember my gift?" he nodded. "I gave my life to Chise, as therefore I am no longer alive or dead. I became the goddess of the spring. I am tied to the nature now, helping the plant grow. I can never return to you again."

"Will you always be in this forest?" asked Chise, hoping for me to say yes.

But, I shook my head "only this one day...once a year."

She was sad now. I went over to the young mage and wrapped my arms around you "But thanks to you, I can visit your house."

"Huh?" Ruth didn't understand and looked over to Elias. He knew what I meant "The tradition was only there for you to come to us...once a year...right?" I nodded "Normally a goddess isn't allowed to leave the forest, unless a certain tradition is kept. With the soil, I will find my way to your home. The water of roses will be blessed, so it can help your garden to grow. You remember don't you Chise?"

Chise tired to smile; she certainly remembered that, as I gave live to dead plants.

"And the roses at the door?" asked Elias.

"They are for me, as a thank you for the blessing" I said.

Then, I noticed the bags next to the mage "Are you leaving?"

Chise nodded weak "I am going to the college in London."

"That is great news!" I was so proud of her, going her way in life. I hugged her once more "I knew you would do something with your life."

"But I won't be able to see you"

I smiled "I am sure that college of yours has a garden. Just carry on the tradition there...and I will appear...on the forest day of spring. But for now, let me help you get out of this forest...I don't want my guards to hurt you." I explained to them, that they are keeping me save from intruders. With one move of my hands, the trees bend aside, revealing the way to the next village.

I stroked Chise's hair "And remember I will always be there."

Next I stroked Ruth's fur "No matter where you are..."

I pulled down on Elias coat to kiss his skull "...no matter where you go."

"I am everywhere...watching over you."
