I was currently driving down to dc to see Lizzie just listening to my music and being as relaxed as I possibly could. The drive wasn't too long only three hours and I left around 7 so I was on course to be at her apartment in the next 20 minutes. While I was relaxed I was also thinking about what Kelley had told me. I did catch myself smiling when I was talking to João aswell so I knew she was right.

But there was something missing, something about Charles was so inviting and that's what was really tripping me up the most. I began to let myself drift back to the good times I had with Charles and it made me wonder where everything went wrong.

This time was one of my 'I really need my dad moments' the guy made everything better for me, and it took him no effort at all. At most all he had to do was smile at me and everything would be better.

I really needed him now.

August 21st, 2011- Hershey, Pennsylvania

I walked in the front door of the house and slammed it behind me, walking straight past my dads office and to the stairs.

"Mags? Is that you?" My dad calls from the office as I begin walking up the stairs

I had a horrible day at school and I had a headache so all I wanted was to go to sleep and forget the day even happened.

"Magnolia wait please." My father says as I'm at the top of the stairs and I stop and turn around

"What's wrong kid?" He asks

"Nothing I'm tired, I just want to take a nap." I sigh

"But you have practice in an hour" he says

"Dad I'm just going to skip tonight I'm not feeling it." I say

"Put your bag in your room and come back down, let's talk." He says as i sigh

I go down the hall to my room and put my bag down and take off my shoes then return downstairs to my dads office where he was sitting on one of the chairs in the room

"Come sit." He says pointing to the chair across from him

I do as he says and sit down in the chair.

"What happened today, you were okay this morning." He asks

"I got my bio test back and it was terrible, a D to be exact so that was a great way to start the morning, then I was like a second late to English, and I got screamed at, after that I got in trouble in history for Lola talking but I wasn't even talking. And I'm thinking man the day can't get much worse; I forgot my lunch I'm the fridge and Christian wasn't here to give me the food he doesn't like. So I have a headache and I'm hungry and now I have a C in bio.AND Coach Matt emailed the meet events, I'm running the 4 by 4 and I'm going to die." I explain in one huff and when I look up at him he's just smiling at me

"It's not funny dad." I groan

"It's not kid, I'm not laughing. I just think you're cute. Maggie your life won't end because you got one D on a test, and if you really don't feel up for practice we can skip and go eat since you haven't eaten today." He says and my frown turns to a smile

"Really?" I asks and he nods

"The world won't end if you miss practice, and you know I don't care anyways you can do whatever you want to do as long as it's legal." He say's standing up

"And you know know you can text me, if you were having a bad day and it was truly shitty I'd come get you. It's not that big a deal." He says walking over to my chair

"Thanks dad" I say quietly and stand up

"You don't have to worry kid, I'm always in your corner." He says as he pulls me into a hug
