"Paul let's go, I hate being late" I say pounding on the door to his hotel

He opens it with an angry look on his face

"Hey I texted you an hour ago, this is on you" I laugh as he walks out and we make our way down the hall

"So I heard you yesterday night on the phone with Christian, you were talking a lot. About João" he laughs

"And? I don't think you understand that just because I talk about him doesn't mean I'm dating him. I told you that i would be taking everything slow like I don't know him that well." I defend

"But you know him" Paul says pointing to Charles as we walk into the lobby

He spots us and makes him way over.

"Hey guys! Are you heading to the paddock now?" He asks pulling me into a quick hug then shaking Paul's hand

"We are, but it seems like magnolia didn't need to rush me if you're still here" he says as I roll my eyes

"Actually Paul could I borrow her for just a second, I need to speak to her" he says as Paul grins

"Yeah of course, I'll just be here" he says as I walk with Charles towards the cafe in the hotel

"What's up?" I ask

"Are you still up for the walk Saturday night?" He asks

"Yeah of course, it's part of our deal no?" I say as he nods

"Alright good. How've you been?" He asks

"I'm good, how about you?" I answer

"Well for one thing you were right about the result in Baku." He chuckles

"I'm telling you, it's me. I'm bad luck, I come to races and you don't finish, but when I dont show up. You get podiums, freakin unbelievable" I laugh as he smiles

"Maybe this weekend I can break the cycle" he smiles

"Maybe" I say as we turn around and walk back

"Oh speaking of which, are you doing anything tonight?" He asks

"Nope" I say as he nods

"Perfect, text me your room number and I'll be there at 8" he says as we get back to Paul who is now standing and speaking with Lando

"Oh hey Maggie" he says giving me a hug

"Oh hey Lando" I mock as he rolls his eyes

"You wanna ride with Paul and I to the track?" He asks

"I guess it wouldn't hurt" I say as he nods his head

"Excellent, well chuck I'll see you at the track" lando says patting his shoulder as Charles rolls his eyes

"Let's roll guys" lando laughs as i wave to Charles and leave

"No it's stupid as hell, they are doing Finns party on Friday and the dinner thing on Thursday. They wouldn't do this for me." Mercedes complains as I laugh at her over FaceTime

"You've gone extremely off topic merc." I say as she nods

"Right what were you saying?" She asks

"I was asking you how Celeste was?" I say

"Oh yeah, she's been alright. Last I checked she talked to Cora and Cora told her that Jude and her Weren't dating but we're getting there" she begins

"And what kind of person dates, or no is getting there. With the guy her bestfriend likes. I'll answer my own question, nobody! Cora is just incapable of being a human being and Jude, no offense is an idiot." She exclaims as I laugh

"He is an idiot, I tried to figure out what happened and he just shut me down." I sigh

"He is an idiot, and so predictable too." She says

"Well what about you Mercedes, who do you have your eye on these days" I grin

"Your one to talk Magnolia, you've got not one but two athletes that are down bad for you. Shut your mouth" she says as I laugh

"No, they aren't down bad for anyone. As I said already, the both just got out of relationships that were really long and I'm sure they don't want to rush things"I say

"No I understand, that doesn't mean they can be down bad" she says as i sigh

"No no no, it's not like that" I say as there is a knock at the door

"Oh no? Who's that now?"she grins as I stand up

"I've got to time the things I say better" I groan as she nods

I stand up and walk out to the door and open it revealing Charles

"Come in, but if you don't mind giving me a second. Mercedes is on the phone, so I need to say goodbye before she says something unhinged" I explain to Charles as he nods walking in

"I heard that jackass" she yells as I roll my eyes

"Ike that" I say as Charles laughs

I quickly walk back and say goodbye before returning to Charles in the main part of the room

"So what's up" I say sitting down on the couch as he joins me

"Nothing much, it just feels like we haven't see each other in a while" he says

"Yeah it's been a second" I laugh

"What's been happening?"he asks

"Well I went to visit Christian last week, it was fun." I say and abruptly stop, my mind lingering back to the night at the club

"Is everything okay" he ask as I nod

"Yeah brain fart, uh but yeah it was nice to see him play and obviously just to see him in general" I say as he nods

"Are you going to see him again before you come back here for break?" He asks

"Nothing that's planned" I say as he nods

"Well it was good that you saw him then at least." He says as I nod

"Well he said he might come for Monaco but I bet something will come up, and I'm sure he's playing in a match" I say as he nods

"Well you know I was thinking actually about Monaco" he begins

"What we're you thinking?" I ask

"Well obviously it's an important weekend, and I know you don't really go out, but would you maybe consider coming with me? You could meet some of the other guys" he says as I nod

"Why not" I shrug

"Perfect" he laughs
