Chapter 89- Pasta Problems

November 24th, 2024- Monaco

"Well I mean, if you insist you can come but I'm not sure that's a good idea." Paul says to me as we exit the office

"Why not? Is it seriously that awkward with everyone?" I ask

Paul s family was currently in a really weird state, his parents divorced early- two years after the birth of Paul and his twin sister Lena , then his dad quickly remarried and had a daughter, Estelle. Then divorced again and had another son with Paul's mother who was really young. But Paul's mom and dad never got back together and it's been awkward since his mom was remarried a few years ago so they avoid family events but it was Lena's engagement party so they couldn't.

"Yeah, it's worse because Estelle's mom is super close with Lena and I and she is coming because obviously Blaise is going to come, even though he's 8 years old." Paul says and we walk to my car

"It's fine, you need a date anyway." I laughs

"My whole parenting staff as Lena and I say, are completely fine with my singleness." He mumbles

"Can I please set you up with someone, I have a few people. What about Celeste?" I ask

"Isn't she chronically obsessed with Jude?" He asks

"Right. Okay what about Quigley you guys are the same age." I propose

"Um, I think there is a policy we follow that forbids that." He chuckled

"God damn it." I whine

"Just whatever, Lena's having the party in Paris Saturday afternoon so go, don't go. Just don't say I didn't warn you." He chuckles as we get into the car

"Good, I have nothing to do this weekend so it's perfect" I say and begin to drive

"Well what are you going to do with cosmo then?" He asks and I shrug

"If I'm just going for a day I can leave him with Freya or Leo, havent figured that much out yet." I say and he nods

"I'm just taking you home right?" I ask and he nods

"I have a doctor appointment at 5 so that would be greatly appreciated." He smiles

After dropping Paul home I begin my drive home when I get a call from Christian .

"Hello?" I ask accepting the call

"Hey you're done with work right?" He asks

"Yep, I'm on my way home right now." I say

"Good, Christmas is in Milan obviously but new years where?" He asks

"Well I'm not sure, won't you want to do something with Alexa? Hello, first new year with new girlfriend." I laugh

"But we always do new years." He whines

"I mean well let's wait for Ben's crazy ass to plan something, you can bring Alexa And on the off occasion Ben doesn't have a ridiculous party you two can just come to Monaco." I suggest

"Can you come to Milan Sunday I have nobody coming, if you come to the suite you can bring cosmo." He asks

"Let me see, I have to go to Paris Saturday, so I guess I'll pop in. I'll check my very busy schedule." I respond

"Very good, how is my best friend by the way?" He asks

"Me or my dog?" I counter

"Uh." He mutters

"Cosmo has not torn through Freyas curtains in the last month, he hasn't eaten any vintage heels and he finally learned to hold it. He's doing great." I say
