Chapter 31-Wishful thinking

"You are very clever my friend" Lando says as I look at him confused

"Well I know that, but why are you saying that." I ask

"I do feel a lot better after stuffing my face full of food my trainer would not approve of." He says

I laugh and nod my head at him. "Eating will always make you feel better, food just gets me dude." I preach and he chuckles

"Well let me ask you this, food or my friend Charles lechair?" He asks smirking

"Most definitely food, Charles isn't even close to food let me tell you." I try to defend as he shakes his head

"No need to lie. Last time he gushed about someone like that he was dating Charlotte. And Pierre was dropping hints." Lando says as I chuckle

"So it seems that Charles is very obvious. Good to know." I note as he chuckles

"Are you guys a thing?"

"No, well like yes but no. It's like friends with benefits. I don't know I'm confused too"I say as we walk through the doors of the hotel lobby

"Why don't you ask, I can see you guys being a thing. I don't know it's weird but it a just seems right."

"I don't know about that one my friend, I don't think i see it. Like at all." I say as he shrugs

"You can let me know in like two months when you're dating him how that worked out" he chuckles and hits the floor we need to go to

The hotels block of two floors in most of the hotels for race weekend for driver and team members, which was very helpful because it makes for less paparazzi and it's easier to get to my room noting having to wait behind a billion people just trying to meet a formula one driver

"If you decide to come to any other races, you know not for work. The Mclaren Paddock pass is always open to you." He says and I smile

"Well Charles might have an aneurysm, or no not Charles... Carlos would have an aneurysm"

"Give it two months I swear." He says as we reach my room door

"I doubt it." I smile and open the door

"See you tomorrow morning in the paddock"he cheers and walks back in the direction of his room

I chuckle and close the door behind me as I walk into my hotel room. In the room I grab my laptop and immediately get on the phone with my old peers from high school about the trip we would be taking

"Wait ok so Christian and I have to come straight from Vegas, so we can all just meet at the Airbnb" I propose to the group as they all agree

"So everyone figure out flying stuff on your own and then we meet there?" Justin asks

"Sounds right."Lizzie confirms

"Now we just have to figure out the Airbnb, so are we extending the invite to boyfriends and girlfriends?" Sophia asks

"That sounds fine, everyone can just roommate up for the week." Jacob says

"So that's how many couples?" I ask as I'm the one searching for places to stay

"Well, that depends, jacob are you bringing your girlfriend or whatever?" Lola asks

"I think Delilah would come, I can ask but I'm sure she will say yes." He responds

"Okay so then 4 couples." Lola confirms

"Which leaves four other people, so Christian can stay in a room with Justin and Maggie can stay with Lizzie." Kevin interjects
