"How is it going there?" Paul asks over the phone
"Fine, I just cleaned the apartment, cosmo is finally asleep and I'm just so ready to the day to be done." I say and he laughs
"Are you packed for our ski trip for new years?" He asks
"Just about, I can't find my boots but once I find those I'm good to go." I say
"Do you have any plans for the rest of the night?" He asks
"Well I have to go pick up my dinner, and that's just about It." I say
"What are you going to get?" He questions
"Sushi." I say and glance over at cosmo and see he's still sleeping
"Save me some." He jokes
"If I did you would get bad food poisoning. But I'm gonna go while cosmo is still asleep." I say
"Alright, text me after the meeting I want all the drama," he says and I laugh
"Bye Paul, say hi to your family for me." I say and he laughs
"Bye." He says and hangs up
I take a deep breath and look back at cosmo before standing up and grabbing my wallet then I exit my apartment.
The weather wasn't too bad, I was wearing a sweater already so i didn't have to bundle up. But it was still a bit cold. The place I was going to wasn't far enough to make the excuse of driving to escape the cold.
So I walked, it was about 10 minutes away and I listened to music on the way. I never realized until just now how lonely I truly felt, obviously I had cosmo but when I'm not with him it's weird. It's like when you have a relationship, you can text them or call them, but i truly had nobody. Unfortunately for me, holiday season was hard beacause of my dad. But I usually spend my holiday with someone, but i wouldn't this year- which led me to the realization.
