"Good god, I'm never running with you again." João says as he gets back to the front porch as I was waiting for him to get back
"You are an active athlete, this wasn't even that bad." I laugh as he's fighting to regain control over his breathing
"Compared to what?" He wheezes
"My track workouts were 10 times harder than what we just did and in summer they were like every day except weekends ." I say
"Well bless you then. That may have been harder than anything I've ever done in my whole life." He groans as I take a sip of my water and sit down next to him
"What's your heart rate at?" I ask
"I can't even look, I'm to weak." He says
"Oh come on, let's change and we can go to the water." I say as I slap his chest the stand up
"No I'll just lay here for a second" he says quietly as i rolly my eyes and hold out my hand for him
He takes it and we go inside and get changed.
"Did you run that whole thing? Like even the hills?" He asks me and I nod
"Yeah, these hills aren't like the hills in Positano. So I find them bareable." I shrug
"I think you're crazy." He says
"Yeah but you love me" I smile
"Can you tie my bathing suit?" I ask and he nods
"Come here" he says as I I walk over to him and turn around so he can tie the top
"You got Lola's gift right?" He asks me and I nod
"Yeah, Christian picked it up last night." I say and he finishing tying the top
"I'm sorry I can't be there." He says and stands up
"It's fine, honestly I still feel awkward going. You dodged a bullet goof." I say and we walk out of the room
"You say that now, but once it's over and done with you'll feel better." He says
"I'll take your word" I say and as we leave the house and walk down to the beach
"So you are going to Christians place, then from there going to The wedding, then where?" He asks
"To watch Copa America, then I will be shipping myself to Germany to watch you play." I say and he laughs
"That sounds like to much no?" He asks
"I'm fine, it's all for people I love so I'll get over it." I say
"Well I promise I will make it worth your while." He laughs

"Okay first spot?" João asks me as we walk out of the house
It was our last day so we were trying to make the most of it.
"I don't know, we can go by the water. Or we could just go walk up the hills." I say
"I vote water." He says and I shake my head
"We are going to take many walks together so you may aswell just get used to it. It's my favorite thing " I say and he sighs
"Come on we can walk by my grandparents old house." I say and he nods as we begin walking in that direction
The walk there wasn't too bad, like 10 minutes. So in that time João and I began talking about our future together.
"What is just one thing that you've always wanted, like for the future?" João asks
"I want to get a house here, bring my children every summer and raise them as my dad raised me." I say
"That sounds nice." He smiles
"What about yours?" I ask
"If you asked me like a year ago, I would say I just want to be a really good dad." He shrugs
"But?" I ask
"Well now I'm with you so naturally, I just want you to be happy, anything you want I want." He says
"Anything?" I ask
"Your wildest dreams." He says
"What if I told you I wanted 15 kids?" I ask
"Um, yeah I can't promise that." He says
"How about just one?" I ask
"That's reasonable. What would we name it?" He asks
"You have any suggestions?" I ask
"Whatever you want." He hums
"If it's a boy, Niccolo, Nico for short. After my father." I say
"I like that." He say
"If it's a girl,Alaia or Ines." I say
"Alaia is pretty." He says
"So that's my dream, just a little family in a summer house. All together and happy." I say
"How about I make you a promise?" He asks and we stop
"Let's hear it." I say
"I promise to do everything in my power to make that dream a reality." He says
"Well now I need a promise, right?" I ask
"What do you have?" He asks
"I don't know, your dream was kinda hard to make a promise out of." I shrug
"You can do it." He smiles
"Okay. How about: I promise to always be here for you, no matter what, anything happens and I'll be the first you talk to." I suggest and he nods
"I like that." He says and I nod
"Well good. We are locked in now." I joke and he pulls me into a hug
"Yeah we need to promise to stop saying locked in, it's really upsetting." He laughs as he kisses my forehead
"Oooh, I don't know. I actually already promised Christian I wouldn't stop saying it until he does. You know, so in a couple months when it's a not a thing he's not the only one who's saying it." I say
"Good lord." He says and I laugh as we continue up the hill
We get all the way to our destination, and my heart feels full as I see the house I spent some of my happiest days in. But it was nice to be here now with someone I love.

But the time jumps are going to start now, they are sorta all over the place so stay with me 😭.
