May 24th,2023- Monaco

"Maggie are you even listening to what I'm saying" Christian asks me through the phone

"Shit, yeah. Wait no what were you saying?" I ask snapping back to reality

"Has he still not said anything?" He asks as I nod

Charles hadn't spoken a word to me since Saturday and it was now Wednesday, I texted him Sunday afternoon and nothing. I couldn't tell you why considering he said I love you first, I couldn't tell yet if I was frustrated or disappointed. Right now both but I couldn't tell which I would feel more.

"It's fine, what was it you were saying?" I ask

"I was talking about the move over the summer, a lot of clubs are interested but none of them feel right." He begins as I cut in

"Let me ask you this, does it feel right at Chelsea?" I ask him

"No" he answers

"When was the last time you felt right?" I ask

"Before the injury. And honestly even before something felt off" he says

"What about at Dortmund, was it the same there?" I ask

"It was right but felt wrong" he says

"Do you even know what's right for you Chris, because what I'm picking up is your looking for something but it's like you don't know what it looks like, if that makes sense." I explain to the best of my capability

"I guess." He shrugs

"Does it feel right when you just play for the national team?" I ask

"Yeah it feels perfect" he says

"I think your just not susceptible to change, something gets uncomfortable for you and then your miserable. And it's not a bad thing it just means open your heart to change in wherever you chose to go and you'll thrive." I say

"So I'm stubborn is what I pulled from that" he says

"Yeah basically,but what clubs" I ask

"Some are still here in the premier league, 2 in Italy, 2 in Germany, 1 in France and one in Spain. Obviously there are others but my agent wants my focus on those clubs." He says

"You're being to general, give me names" I chuckle

"There is a confidentiality agreement I signed until the transfer portal opens but I can tell you AS Monaco isn't one of the teams" he chuckles

"Shit that's not convenient at all" I chuckle

"So he seriously hasn't said anything?" He asks

"Yeah." I say quietly

"I mean it's a busy week for him so I'm not really worried about it." I add quickly after

"But you are worried, and I know you're worried." He says

"I don't know, I don't want to get into it right now.can we talk about something else?" I ask

"Yeah, let's talk about João, he keeps asking and both mason and I keep deflecting but the season is almost done and I don't want to leave him hanging." He says

"I don't know, I'm giving him space until I see him in Spain, it's only right to give him the space he deserves to solve his relationship" I explain

"Do I tell him that?" He asks

"No, I'll see him in a week, deflect for one more week, I believe in you!" I joke as he nods

"I understand" he says
