"Sky," Henry said, taken by surprise, as she put her arms around his neck. He rubbed her back soothingly, as she sobbed on his shoulder. Wordlessly, he understood that the revealing session had not gone as they had expected.

"Sky," Henry repeated once more and gently pulled her towards the sofa. She took a seat, dumped her school bag on the seat beside her, and she started to sob again. Henry squeezed her hand. He did not utter a single word, until she had stopped her tears and regained herself. Only after she had stopped her crying, Henry turned towards her.

"Are you sure that you are okay, darling?" he whispered slowly, as Skylar nodded and pulled her sleeves across her face.

"Reree left," she said as her lips started to tremble again. Henry took a breath inside, in shock. He put her arms to the side of her shoulder, as she leaned towards him, and placed her head on his lap, wiping her nose.

"I told them everything, dad." she started to explain. "I didn't want to scare both of them. So, I sugar coated most of the details. But I did not miss out on anything. I revealed all the things. But, but, she didn't stay. After listening to all of it, she left. She didn't even glance at me, dad." she started to cry again, as Henry sighed. He had not thought that she would leave her. He had thought that it would have been Ed.

"If it had been Eddie, I would not feel so sad dad. But, because it was Reree," she paused as she trembled in tears again. Henry nodded understandingly.

"I know darling," he said. "I know."

After a long time had passed, Skylar got upstairs towards her room, and had a long shower thinking to erase all of the memory she had. She wished she was drowned in the water. She prayed for the water to build a sea around her, where she could die peacefully, without having to worry about any of the things that were happening around her.

She got out of the shower, and stared at her reflection, as she noticed that all the gashes across her arm had started to grow light in color. It was as though the colors had started to fade. She leaned towards her gashes, surprised to look at the change. It had never happened before. Through these seven years of her fated life, every single gash that she had, after her nightmares, were always there in her arms and legs, sketched as though it was unerasable. As she kept on staring at her scars, she wondered whether Ed had been the same reason that the gashes had started to erase. With hundreds of thoughts crossing through her mind, Skylar thought that she should visit the library again. There were many doubts that she had to solve. She could not be doing the guess work anymore.

Not wanting to feel ashamed of herself anymore, Skylar wore a short sleeved t-shirt for a change, and went down to have dinner. Henry was waiting for her on the table. She pulled the chair opposite to him, and plumped herself down on it. Henry looked up as she sat before him and served her the food he had prepared for her. He did not ask anything anymore, but he took notice that she was wearing a short sleeved t-shirt for a change. He actually felt happy as he realized that she was comfortable around him, by showing off her gashes. She did not want to hide herself from anything anymore. His eyes darted towards her gashes, and he too noticed that most of them had started to fade. Henry turned his eyes towards his plate again, and he ate in silence, as Skylar was lost in some far away thoughts.

"Sky," Henry started softly. "Are you alright, darling?" he asked. Skylar turned to look at him and she nodded slowly. Henry too nodded and turned his eyes towards his plate.

After dinner, Henry stared at Skylar, as she went to bid good night for him.

"Sky," he called. "If you need anything, I am just across the hall. Don't hesitate, okay?" he asked. Skylar smiled and gave him a tight nod.
