It's so strange, deciding,
how i feel about it,
It's such strange, emotion,
standing there beside itMoonlight on the River- Mac DeMarco

The glade was bright and warm, but my heart felt cold and empty. No amount of sun could melt the pain away. Its heat grazed over my heart barely touching, swiftly moving away with a careless demeanor.
Calm wind kissed my pale cheeks and red eyes, that grew swollen and puffy from last night. Tear stains burned into my cheeks, trailing down to my neck. I wiped them away, wanting to forget about what I saw and heard the previous day. It didn't work.
Yesterday, after Winston and Chuck dropped me off to New- The room, I was just about to open the door when I had a change of thought. My feet and legs bolted out of the building, heading towards the forest where I fell asleep under the stars. Who knew giant balls of gas in the galaxy would be so welcoming.
My back was leaned on the rough tree, it's wood digging into my skin at every movement. I shifted, getting into a comfortable spot as I woke up.
I sighed upon realizing today was a new day and I had to face them. The people who hurt me more than they could even imagine. I was betrayed, lied to, hurt, and worse of all...
I wish I never found out.
I wish I stayed in bed and didn't move a muscle, maybe then I wouldn't be feeling like this. Like my heart is going to fall apart. So fragile. It was heavy, weighing my mind down like a burden.
A burden I could not seem to let go.
Forget about them, my mind demanded, but my heart said other wise.
"Don't cry. What is wrong with you? Stop it- Stop crying, already." I let out a sniffle and used the sleeve of my shirt to remove any evidence of tears. Even though my throbbing eyes would most likely give it away."Why am I so emotional? It's not like I'm dying or anything." My nails scratched at my left arm, rubbing the layer of cloth against it.
A sound crept from the emptiness of my stomach, signaling for its next meal. I sighed before standing up. I'm hungry.
I blinked several times, hoping that if I blinked fast enough no one would notice how red my green eyes were. But soon I gave up, forgetting to blink in a rapid fashion.
Dishes clashed on wooden tables and metal hit against metal. People chatted while eating breakfast. Joking on this early morning; at what I believe is seven a.m. I became envious of their bright smiles and laughter that was spreaded along the room.
