"Just one more door and we're out of here, right?" Frypan eyed the door, narrowing his eyes with question.

I walked after the group, "I wouldn't be surprised if there's another door outside of that one," I muttered beside Newt, earning a glare from Thomas and Minho. Which had caused the blonde boy to choke back a laugh.

"Ha ha ha," Frypan fake laughed, "I'm being serious. If I see another door leading us to only God knows where. I'm walking my behind back to the glade." He threw his arms in the air with a sassy attitude.

"I doubt it," Winston whispered to me and I chuckled in response, "He'd complain about it. Then blame Thomas before realizing it wasn't that big of a deal."

"Sounds like Fry to me-"

A loud crash echoed in the room. Specifically coming from behind us. We all turned around unaware of what was going on. To my surprise, Gally stood less than ten feet away, holding on to a gun with a shaky hand.

"We can't leave," He cried as tears dripped down his face. Gally looked ill. His eyes were pitch black and filled with emptiness. I hardly recognized him.

Gally was stung.

"We did. Gally, we're out. We're free," Thomas spoke calmly and held out his arms as some sort of protection. Or way of telling Gally he was not armed with a weapon. Uncontrollably, I did the same.

Out of pure instinct my eyes were trained on the gun. I carefully observed it and waited for Gally to make his move. He was shaky like crazy. Not once did his hand skip a beat.

I glanced over to Newt, making sure he was okay. Face to face with a gun and all I could think about was Newt. The things I regretted. Not openly telling him things because I was too scared. Also, all the times I'd risked my life without stopping to think how Newt would feel about it. Or when I would leave Newt to search for an away out of the maze.

When faced with death, you start to question the life you're living. Did you make it worth it? Did you use your time wisely? Or are you going to die, ending your life incomplete.

My left arm fell, dropping my hand to the side and I reach ahead of me, clamping onto Newts right hand. Holding his hand never failed to make me feel safe. Even now that I am not entirely safe because of Gally, it was soothing.
