I felt like I could properly breathe. Even if it was too dark to see and I had no clue when something would happen in this room. All that matters was we were alive.
There was click.
The door opened leading us to a hallway. Bright lights shined in my eyes and I had to blink a couple time to adjust to it.
No one said anything. Our loud foot being the only noice coming from us. It was a peaceful silence. No one had to speak. No one chose too. We just walked down the narrow hall.
That was until a green sign caught our attention. Specifically what it said. Exit.
"Really?" Frypan eyed the thing blankly.
"How creative," I mumbled. I looked towards Thomas waiting for him to open the door or something, "Are you going to open it?" I teased, snapping him back to reality.
He sent me a glare and I shrugged in response, leaning back into myself.
Extremely cautious and slow Thomas reached for the door handle and twisted. Then he ever so gently opened the door.
We all walked inside hoping for something more than what we received. The room was in despair. Left unattended. There was glass everywhere and bodies scattered along the floor. Just below working stations.
We stood scattered around a lab. Advanced technology in every nick and cranny of the place. I walked behind the group unsure of where to go. I wanted to go through everything but there was too much. Too much to observe.
What happened here?
I walked to the center of the room. A large platform stood in my view with glass walls. Carefully, I walked up the three steps and stood next to Minho and Chuck.
They looked at me as If I had all the questions. Like I had knew what all of this meant. But I did not. Oh how I wish I did.
"Hello."
A woman's voice said. Echoing throughout the room. I looked for where the sound was coming from and saw a giant screen light up with a woman's face on it.
