"What did he say?" We walked into med-jack all collectively deciding not to address what happened earlier.
I was the last to walk in and only managed to hear Teresa say, "He hasn't said anything since he first woke up."
Alby sat up on his bed, facing the wall. His body was tense and he just occasionally blinked. There was no movement coming from the boy filled with terror.
Newt sat down beside Alby and began to gently speak to him, "Alby," He said, "Alby you alright?" He didn't react.
I moved closer, trying to get a better look but Gally who was leaning on the wall blocked my way purposely.
Thomas kneeled down near Alby and Newt, "Hey, Alby." He stuttered over his words, "We may have just founded a way out of the maze. You hear me? We could be getting out of here."
"We can't," Whispered Alby. "We can't leave. They won't let us."
My mouth gaped open a little. I've never seen Alby this frightened before. He always strong and stern and to see him like this, leaves a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach.
Thomas looked at us then back at Alby, "What are you talking about?" He asked the leader.
"I remember."
"What do you remember?"
Alby drew his attention away from the wall, landing his focus on Thomas, "You," He looked away, eyes moving to my figure, "And you..."
My jaw clenched and I moved forward.
"Lilah." He finished his sentence.
Gally moved slightly, just enough to let me pass. I walked past Thomas and Newt, then sat on the other side of Alby.
"You needed to tell me something." I said to him, "What was it?" Alby stared for at me for a second, contemplating whether or not to say something. "Alby you can trust me. I know you're scared but-"
He aggressively shook his head. "I'm scared for you..." His words stumbled out his anxious mouth.
"What are you talking about?" Newt jumped in the conversation abruptly.
Alby ignored Newt, turning back to me.
"They're controlling you. Do you hear voices? People telling you what to do or what to say- It's the creators."
