Since today is the day that Demetrius and I do our last rehearsal before we do our auditions in front of Angel and Husk tomorrow, I decide to make a quick stop by Hellbuck's and grab our favorite drink orders, pay the cashier and then head out. I walk down the sidewalk until I come upon the hotel main entrance. Demetrius was standing out front leaning up against the wall with his hands in his pocket. In that moment, I could have sworn he was a supermodel. He sees me and his face lights up with a smile, "hey! There you are!"

I chuckle awkwardly and hand him his coffee before fiddling with my hair," yeah, he, he... here I am." We both kind of stare at one another in an awkward silence until he decides to disturb it. "Uh, so, what do you say we go inside? I got the keys to the ballroom and the band has almost finished up with setting up the stage." 'Hmmm.... He's kinda cute why haven't you asked him out yet?'

I looked around me in confusion trying to figure out where that voice came from. Demetrius looks at me and tries to figure out what I'm looking for, "what? What is it?" "You— you didn't hear that?" He stops walking for a moment and looks at me as though he's anything but amused, "uh,... hear what?"

"I— I could have sworn that I heard someone talking." He shrugs his shoulders and continues walking, "maybe it was someone from around the corner." 'Ooo.... Handsome and smart! Nice!' Getting annoyed I think internally, 'where in the Hell is that voice coming from?' 'From your mind, genius.'

'What the fu—?' 'Language, Isabella, geez!' I stop in my tracks getting fed up with the voice in my head talking, "Uh, hey, D?" He stops and turns around, "yeah, what's up? You're acting kind of weird."

I scratch the back of my head awkwardly, "heh, heh... yeah sorry about that, I'm just going to stop by the bathroom real quick." He looks at me more puzzled than he was before, "uh... okay. I'll text you when the band is finished setting everything up... I guess." I smile and turn around quickly and sprint for the bathroom. 'Okay, you've got five minutes to explain yourself 'random voice in my head.''

'Well first off, 'Miss Priss,' my name's Jessie.' I roll my eyes in annoyance as I open the bathroom door and step inside. I first look around to make sure no one is in any of the bathroom stalls and upon confirming that everything is clear, I lock the bathroom door behind me. "Well no shit Sherlock! Who else would you be?"

'Honey... I don't think it's registering in that pretty little, thick skull of yours so allow me to enlighten you.' I huff, "go on..." 'I mean, do you honestly believe that it was a coincidence that you chose, 'Jessie Hart,' to be your Hell name? Absolutely not. I influenced you into choosing that name.'

"What do you mean by,' influenced' me." The voice in my head lets out an exasperated sigh, 'walk over to the mirror.' "Um,... why?" 'Just move your butt, Isabella!' I let out a sigh and walk over to the mirror and scream at the top of my lungs when I see another face in the mirror instead of my reflection, "whoa!!!

That's definitely not my face!!!" The face smiles back at me, 'Indeed, that's because it's my face.' I walk back up to the mirror and place my hand on glass. She smiles back at me from the other side of the mirror and places her hand up to mine. 'You don't need to be afraid of me, Isabella.

I chose to reincarnate into your physical body for a reason.' A tear falls from my eye, "you're— you're..." 'That's right,' she says chuckling. "You're her. The Holy Grail.

Daughter of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene... aren't you?" She smiles the sweetest smile that I had ever seen on anyone's face in my entire existence, 'now you're on the right track.' I continue wiping the tears pooling from my face, "can I just ask you one question." She smiles back at me with deep brown eyes, 'of course, my dear.' I clear my throat and take a deep breath in order to compose myself, "why me?"

She smiles and laughs softly, 'that question never gets old with you incarnated bodies. I chose you because you are the most deserving and worthy person of your time.' I scoff at the image in the mirror, "I highly doubt that." She sighs and gives an empathetic expression, 'you don't see it now but in time, you will come to realize your full potential. The key to success in passing your first trial and tribulation lies with him.'

I smack my hand to my face, "oh come on! You've got to be shi—" She looks back at me in disapproval. "I mean, uh, you've got to be kidding me!" She relaxes her face and shakes her head, 'your first trial and tribulation is healing and love.

I'm not permitted to tell you more than that. I can only nudge you in the right direction but you must accomplish this task without me.' I let out a sigh, "okay fine. I'm actually supposed to be rehearsing with Demetrius right now but I can't concentrate with you talking in my head. I can barely focus with my one inner voice much less an additional voice on top of that."

She nods her head at me knowingly, 'understood but, you and I have things to catch up on later.' I let out a sigh of relief, "one thing more, if you please." She nods her head, 'just name it.' "Can I tell Demetrius about all of this? He's already suspicious about my behavior because I've been avoiding him.

I don't need to give him additional ammunition to use against me later." She nods her head at me, 'of course you can. I'd expect nothing less.' I let out a sigh of relief, 😮‍💨 "great. Now, I'm going to go back out there and do my rehearsal with Demetrius.

Do you think you can stay quiet until I get back to my  room and am alone for a bit?" 'Yes I will wait until you summon me.' I look at her with a puzzled expression, "wow... I can do that?" She laughs, 'that and then some. There will be more than enough time to get into all of that later.

Now go forth and complete your rehearsal.' I salute the figure in the mirror, "aye, Captain."
