I finish reading Jessie's letter and sit it down on the bed before getting up to go get the breakfast from the table. I bring the tray of food over to my bed and grab my phone off of the night stand after setting my tray down. I look at the time and notice that it's about ten 0'clock. I smile and sit my phone down and eat my breakfast. Surprisingly, it wasn't too cold and the bacon was crunchy and delicious. I looked down and saw that she didn't get any grits this time and I was relieved that she remembered my disdain for the sustenance. After finishing up my breakfast, I get dressed and brush my teeth. I make an attempt to fix my hair but it insisted on staying spiky today.
I eventually give up on the endeavor and decide to just let it do its own thing. I spray on some cologne and throw on some deodorant and grab my keys off of my dresser and head downstairs to the bar. I get downstairs and unlock the door to the bar and walk through the entrance as soon as I open it. I open my phone and scroll through some of my pictures to pass some time.
A few hours have passed by and I see Jessie walking through the main entrance. She smiles at me and waves which for me, is a huge relief since I know it's a good indicator that she's feeling a lot better. When she turns and walks up to her room a realization hits me all of a sudden. Alastor isn't the one that owns my soul anymore, it's my dad. Since he's the one in charge of my contract now, maybe there's a chance he might let me off of work early if I ask him.
