Two Weeks Before

??? POV-

"I am sorry. Please let me go. I have a family!" the man on his knees pleaded.

I stood before the trembling man, a cruel smirk twisted my lips, relishing the fear that emanated from him like a palpable aura.

"How did you even think of going against me?" I sneered, my voice dripping with contempt. "Now you have to face the consequences of your foolish actions."

The man's eyes widened in terror as he realized the gravity of his situation. He stammered incoherently, his pleas for mercy falling on deaf ears.

But I took no pity on him. He had dared to challenge my authority, to threaten the delicate balance of power that I had meticulously cultivated. And now, he would pay the price for his folly.

"You thought you could outsmart me you sh*t," I continued, my tone laced with malice. "But you underestimated me, and now you'll suffer the consequences."

With a chilling laugh, I gestured to my men who surrounded us, ensuring there was no escape for the pathetic excuse of a man kneeling before me.

"Let this be a lesson to anyone who dares to cross me," I declared, my voice resonating with authority. "No one defies me and lives to tell the tale."

I narrowed my eyes at the man, his words stirring a mix of frustration and disappointment within me. How could he claim ignorance when his actions threatened everything I had worked so hard to build?

"You expect me to believe that?" I growled, my voice low and menacing. "You expect me to believe that you took on a contract to f*cking kill me without knowing who was behind it?"

The man cowered before me, his gaze darting nervously around the alley as if searching for an escape. But there was no escaping the reality of his situation. He had crossed me, and now he would face the consequences.

"I swear, I don't know anything!" he insisted, his voice trembling with fear. "I was just following orders. I never met the person who hired me, never even spoke to him directly."

I scoffed at his feeble attempts to plead ignorance, my patience wearing thin with each passing moment. "You expect me to believe that you would carry out such a job without knowing who was pulling the strings?" I demanded, my tone laced with incredulity.

But the man remained adamant, his protests growing more desperate as he realized the severity of his predicament. "Please, you have to believe me!" he pleaded, his voice cracking with emotion. "I did what I had to do to protect my family. I never meant for any of this to happen."

I sneered at his pathetic attempts to justify his actions, my contempt for him growing with each passing second. "Your excuses mean nothing to me," I spat, my grip tightening on the gun in my hand. "You made your choice, and now you'll suffer the consequences. Actually no. You did it for the family, right? So your family will face the consequences."

And with that, I told my man on the phone to kill his family. The sound of bullet firing was heard a few seconds later through the phone."NO!!" the man screamed as he heard two gunshots. And he started crying."I have solved one of your problems as you were worried about your family. Now, let me solve another one." I said, with a cold determination, I pulled the trigger, the deafening sound of the gunshot shattering the silence of the alley. The man's lifeless body slumped to the ground, a grim reminder of the consequences of betraying me. I felt no remorse, no hesitation as I watched the life drain from his eyes.

Turning to my men, I issued a curt command. "Clean up this mess," I ordered, my voice devoid of emotion.

Without a word, my men sprang into action, swiftly and efficiently disposing of the body. It was a routine task for them, one they had carried out countless times before. But for me, it was a reminder of the ruthless world I inhabited, where loyalty was rewarded and betrayal was met with swift and merciless retribution.
