Author's POV-

Taehyung's frustration boiled over, his voice edged with disbelief and frustration. "Is his involvement really necessary? Don't you trust me?" he demanded, his eyes locking onto Mr. Choi's with a mixture of defiance and desperation.

Mr. Choi's expression softened, an understanding flickering in his eyes. "Taehyung, it's not about trust," he replied calmly, his voice tinged with regret. "Jungkook's expertise and resources are crucial for the success of this project. We need his collaboration to ensure its success. I wouldn't proceed with the project without him."

Fury surged through Taehyung's veins, his fists clenching at his side as he struggled to contain his rage. Without a second thought, he lunged towards Jungkook, his mind clouded with anger and frustration.

But before Taehyung could land a blow, a strong hand caught his arm, halting him in his tracks. Startled, he turned to see Jimin standing beside him, his expression one of concern and determination.

"Taehyung, calm down," Jimin urged, his voice firm but gentle. "Violence won't solve anything. We need to handle this situation with caution."

Taehyung's chest heaved with exertion as he tried to reign in his emotions. He knew Jimin was right, but the overwhelming sense of injustice burned within him like a wildfire.

Meanwhile, Jungkook stood before them, a smirk playing on his lips as he revelled in Taehyung's turmoil. "Looks like I've got the upper hand now, Taehyung," he taunted, his voice dripping with arrogance. "Everything you've worked for will be mine."

The words struck Taehyung like a physical blow, igniting a fresh wave of anger within him. But Jimin's steady presence beside him served as a reminder to stay grounded, to not let his emotions get the best of him.

Taking a deep breath, Taehyung nodded, his jaw clenched in determination. "You're right, Jimin," he conceded, his voice laced with frustration. "But this isn't over. We'll find a way to handle this."

Jimin placed a reassuring hand on Taehyung's shoulder, offering him a small smile of encouragement. "We will," he affirmed, his eyes meeting Taehyung's with unwavering resolve.

Together, they stepped aside, seeking a moment of respite from the chaos unfolding around them. Jimin's calming presence served as a balm to Taehyung's frayed nerves, grounding him in the midst of the storm.

The pulsating rhythm of the music filled the air, enveloping the room in lively energy as guests swayed to the beat on the dance floor. Amidst the crowd, Jungkook seized the opportunity to approach Y/N, his steps purposeful as he made his way towards her.

"Y/N," he greeted warmly, a gentle smile gracing his lips as he reached her side. "How are you? Is Mr. Rude..I mean Mr. Kim troubling you?"

Y/N's heart skipped a beat at the mention of Taehyung's name, her thoughts momentarily clouded by the complexities of her relationship with him. She offered Jungkook a small smile, masking the turmoil brewing within her. "Oh, no, everything's fine," she replied, her tone light and casual.

But Jungkook's keen gaze didn't waver, his eyes searching hers for any hint of the truth. "Are you sure?" he pressed gently, his concern evident in his voice.

Y/N hesitated, a pang of guilt tugging at her heart. She couldn't bring herself to divulge the truth about her and Taehyung's marriage to Jungkook, not when it was shrouded in secrecy and pain. Instead, she offered him a reassuring nod. "Yes, I'm sure. Thank you for asking, Jungkook."

Jungkook nodded, accepting her response with a small smile. "I'm glad to hear that," he said sincerely, his eyes softening with relief. "I've been worried about you."
