Y/N's POV-

I was buried in paperwork when the intercom buzzed, interrupting my concentration. With a sigh, I reached over and picked up the receiver, expecting another mundane request or update. However, as soon as I heard the voice on the other end, my annoyance faded, replaced by a strange mix of anticipation and apprehension.

"Come to my cabin," Taehyung's voice commanded, and despite my usual irritation towards him, I found myself oddly eager to comply. There was something about the prospect of seeing him that stirred conflicting emotions within me.

With a small smile tugging at my lips, I made my way to his office, my steps echoing down the quiet corridor. As I approached his door, I took a moment to compose myself, stealing my resolve for whatever awaited me on the other side.

With a quick knock, I waited for permission to enter, my heart pounding in my chest. When the door swung open, however, my smile faltered as I caught sight of Irene standing beside Taehyung. My annoyance resurfaced at the sight of her, knowing all too well how she seemed to always be at his side.

Suppressing my frustration, I entered the room with a forced calmness, ignoring the prickling sensation at the back of my neck. Taehyung glanced up at me, his expression devoid of any emotion, as he immediately launched into business.

"I'll need a cost report for the upcoming marathon race," he stated matter-of-factly, his attention shifting towards Irene. "And make sure to accompany me to today's meeting."

I felt a surge of irritation at his casual dismissal of me, but I held my tongue, refusing to give him the satisfaction of seeing my frustration. However, when he turned his gaze back to me, I couldn't help but glare at him, my eyes burning with unspoken anger.

"What?" Taehyung's voice was tinged with irritation, but I refused to back down, meeting his gaze with a steely glare of my own. I could feel the tension crackling in the air between us, thick and palpable.

Before I could respond, however, Taehyung issued a command to Irene, sending her away on some trivial errand. As she exited the room, leaving us alone, Taehyung rose from his chair and moved to lock the door, effectively trapping me inside with him.

I bristled at the gesture, my frustration reaching its boiling point as he turned to face me, a smirk playing on his lips. "May I know why you seem so angry?" he inquired, his tone infuriatingly casual.

I scoffed, incredulous at his audacity. "Like you don't know," I retorted, my voice dripping with sarcasm. "First, you came home late last night without so much as a word, and now you're discussing matters with Irene as if I don't even exist!"

Taehyung's smirk only widened at my outburst, and before I could react, he pulled me into a sudden embrace. "Missed me?" he teased, his voice low and husky as he held me close.

I tensed at his touch, torn between the warmth of his embrace and the anger that still simmered within me. "Let go of me," I demanded, pushing against his chest in a futile attempt to break free.

But Taehyung only chuckled, his grip tightening around me as he leaned in closer. "If I knew you missed me this much, I would have never left," he murmured, his breath warm against my ear. "But if you don't mind, we can pick up right where we left off yesterday..."

I froze at his words, my heart pounding erratically in my chest. I pushed him away, my eyes blazing with anger and my cheeks blushing.

"It's not like that," I protested, my voice trembling with emotion. "I didn't miss you. It just... seemed unusual, that's all."

With that, I turned on my heel and stormed out of the room, leaving Taehyung behind with his infuriating smirk and laughter echoing in my ears.
