Author's POV-

In the secluded corners of the city, far from the opulence of the Kim mansion, Taehyung and his trusted associates gathered in a hidden safe house. The location was a nondescript warehouse on the outskirts of town, its exterior blending seamlessly with the industrial landscape. Inside, the dim, cavernous space was illuminated by flickering fluorescent lights, casting eerie shadows on the concrete walls.

Taehyung and his key advisors assembled around a large, battered table in the centre of the room. The table was cluttered with blueprints, maps, and documents, all detailing various aspects of their operations. The atmosphere was tense, charged with the urgency of the situation.

Taehyung's voice cut through the silence, commanding and resolute. "We have a critical issue to address."

Jimin, he is one of Taehyung's most trusted lieutenants and Taehyung's best friend as well, leaned in, his face marked by concern. "What's the situation, King?"

Taehyung slammed a stack of files onto the table, causing the papers to scatter slightly. "We've received intel that someone is plotting to take us down. The informant was cryptic—no details on who, when, or where. All we know is that the threat is imminent."

A murmur of apprehension rippled through the group. Taehyung's advisors exchanged worried glances, the gravity of the situation sinking in. "Do we have any idea who might be behind this?" Jimin asked, his voice edged with anxiety.

Taehyung shook his head. "The sources are murky at best. All we have are vague warnings. We need to identify the threat and neutralize it before it materializes."

Minho, another key figure in Taehyung's inner circle, spoke up. "We should intensify our security measures immediately. Monitor all communications and keep a close watch on anyone who might have a motive."

Taehyung nodded in agreement. "Increase surveillance across all our operations. We need to sift through every piece of data for potential breaches. This is a matter of survival."

The team fell into a heated discussion, their voices rising as they debated strategies and potential suspects. The maps and documents on the table became focal points of their intense scrutiny, each one scrutinized for any clue that might lead them to the plotters.

Y/N's POV-

As I sat alone in my room at the Kim mansion, my mind kept drifting back to the previous night. The memory of Taehyung's passionate kisses and our intimate moments lingered in my thoughts. I should have been repulsed, but instead, I found myself inexplicably drawn to him. I couldn't shake the feeling, even though I knew I should hate him. I couldn't understand why I was so entangled in these emotions.

What troubled me even more were the cuts and bruises on his back and torso. I had seen them last night while we were together. The sight of those marks had been haunting. When I asked him, he brushed off my question, simply saying it was nothing significant—just a reminder of his defeat.

They might have been from any fights he had gone through as the mafia king. The scars and marks were a harsh reminder of the dangerous world Taehyung was entrenched in, a world I had tried to ignore but couldn't fully escape.

How could I reconcile my love for Taehyung with the harsh reality of his life as a criminal? My family had never envisioned such a fate for me, and the chasm between my past and my present felt like an insurmountable divide. The thought that Taehyung might only be using me as a pawn in his quest for revenge was heart-wrenching.

I questioned if I deserved better—if anyone deserved the life I was trapped in. The pain of losing my parents and the ongoing struggles with my brother made me wonder if I was doomed to perpetual suffering. And now, Taehyung, the man I loved.....
