Y/N's POV-

I sat in Jin's cabin, occupying the chair at my desk and trying to focus on the work before me. The papers and documents felt like a heavy burden, but not as heavy as the weight of Taehyung's betrayal. I hadn't expected our relationship to unravel this way, leaving me grappling with a mix of anger, sadness, and longing. Despite my resentment towards him, there was a part of me that still craved his presence, his touch. It was a confusing and painful conflict that I couldn't easily shake off.

Noon had come and gone, and the office was quiet except for the sound of my typing and the occasional rustle of papers. Jin had left for a two-day holiday, leaving me to shoulder the burden of work as his assistant. The responsibilities felt overwhelming, but they also provided a welcome distraction from my tumultuous emotions.

I sighed deeply, rubbing my temples as I tried to concentrate. The silence of the cabin was both a comfort and a reminder of my solitude. I felt isolated, not just physically but emotionally. There was no one to share my pain with, no one who could understand the depth of my feelings for Taehyung and the hurt his actions had caused.

Suddenly, my phone rang, jolting me out of my thoughts. I glanced at the screen and saw Jungkook's name flashing. Confused, I wondered why he was calling at this time.

"Hello?" I answered, my voice tinged with curiosity.

"Y/N, come downstairs. I'm waiting," Jungkook's voice came through the line, calm but insistent.

"What? Why?" I asked, still trying to process his words.

"Just come down," he repeated, his tone leaving no room for argument.

"Okay," I said, a bit hesitant, and hung up the phone.

Setting my work aside, I took a deep breath and made my way downstairs. I saw Jungkook's car parked across the street. Carefully, I crossed the road and stood beside it. He noticed me immediately, rolling down his window with a familiar, reassuring smile.

"Get in," he said, his tone firm yet gentle.

"For what?" I asked, bewildered. My mind was still back at the office, juggling the mountain of work left by Jin's absence.

He chuckled softly, "Just get in, Y/N. You'll see."

Before I could argue further, he unlocked the doors. I sighed and slipped into the passenger seat, curiosity and confusion mingling in my thoughts.

As soon as I was settled, he started the car and said, "We're going for lunch."

"What? Jungkook, I can't just leave work like this! I have so much to do," I protested, trying to reason with him.

"You need a break," he replied, his voice calm but insistent. "You've been working non-stop. You deserve some time to relax."

"But you didn't tell me beforehand," I countered, frustration creeping into my voice. "You can't just pick me up in the middle of the day and expect me to drop everything."

He glanced at me, his expression softening. "I know you're overwhelmed, Y/N. That's exactly why I'm doing this. Trust me, a little break will do you good."

I opened my mouth to argue but then closed it, realizing it was futile. Jungkook had a way of getting what he wanted, especially when he believed it was for the best. Reluctantly, I leaned back into my seat, resigning to his plan.

We reached the restaurant, and Jungkook smoothly parked the car. As we got out and walked inside, I noticed the place was quite upscale, with elegant decor and a refined ambience. It wasn't the kind of restaurant I typically frequented, which made me feel slightly out of place.
