Y/N's POV-
It was a quiet Saturday at Kim's mansion. With no office work on the weekend, I found myself drifting through the lavish but empty rooms, the silence only interrupted by the occasional murmur from Taehyung's study. Taehyung was occupied with a meeting, and I was left to my own devices.
As I was lounging in the sunroom, my phone rang, breaking the monotony. I glanced at the screen and saw Jungkook's name. With a faint smile, I answered.
"Hey, Jungkook," I greeted, trying to mask the weariness in my voice.
"Hey, Y/N," Jungkook replied warmly. "I was thinking of taking you out to a concert tonight. I know you've had a stressful week, and I thought a change of scenery might help lift your spirits."
The invitation was enticing, and I appreciated his thoughtfulness. A night out sounded like exactly what I needed to escape from the pressures I'd been facing. Still, I hesitated for a moment. I was wary of revealing too much about my current situation, especially considering Taehyung's unpredictable nature.
"I'd love to," I said, finally making a decision. "But I'm not sure I can have you pick me up from here. How about you meet me at the old library downtown? It's a place I like to go when I need some peace and quiet."
"Alright," Jungkook said, sounding pleased. "I'll see you at the library around 7 PM. Looking forward to it."
After ending the call, I felt a wave of relief wash over me. It was reassuring to know I had a distraction planned, even if I had to keep some details about my life private. I decided to get ready, making sure to dress comfortably yet stylishly for the evening.
Taehyung's POV-
In the study room, Taehyung was engaged in a crucial meeting with Jimin and two of his most trusted associates. The room was filled with an air of intensity as they discussed their secretive plans.
Jimin, seated across from Taehyung, glanced occasionally at the door, ensuring that Y/N was not within earshot. The stakes were high, and every word mattered.
"Taehyung, we need to finalize the details. Are we certain about the timing of the operation?" Jimin asked, his tone edged with concern.
Taehyung's gaze was steely as he reviewed the plans laid out on the table. "We have no room for error. We need to act swiftly and decisively. The timing is crucial."
One of the other associates, a tall man with a grim expression, nodded in agreement. "We've already prepared the necessary resources. What remains is to execute the plan without any mistakes."
Jimin's eyes darted to the door again, his worry evident. "And Y/N? Shouldn't we be cautious? There's a chance she might overhear something."
Taehyung's expression hardened. "Y/N is not our concern right now. We have bigger matters to deal with. We need to proceed with the operation as planned. Our enemies are closing in, and we cannot afford to let anything interfere."
The discussion continued with a focus on the specific logistics of their operation. Maps and documents were spread across the desk, and Taehyung's fingers traced the crucial points of their strategy. His demeanor was cold and businesslike, every decision meticulously calculated.
Jimin's unease was palpable, but he remained silent, trusting Taehyung's judgment. The conversation grew more intense as they delved deeper into the plan, leaving no detail unexamined.
Back to Y/N's POV-
As the clock approached 7 PM, I made my way to the old library, a serene escape from the chaos at the mansion. The library was a quiet, charming place, far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life. I arrived a bit early, finding a cosy corner where I could wait for Jungkook.
