Y/N's POV-
As I stepped into my house, the events of the day weighed heavily on my mind. I had been so consumed by anger towards Mr. Rude that I hadn't even realized I had left Jungkook alone at the exhibition. Oh shit!! Guilt washed over me, and I knew I needed to make things right.
Quickly, I picked up my phone and dialled Jungkook's number, hoping he would answer despite my earlier behaviour. After a few rings, he finally picked up.
"Hey, Jungkook," I said, my voice tinged with regret. He sounded genuinely concerned as he asked, "Where are you, y/n? I have been looking for you for ages?"
Feeling guilty, I replied, "I am so sorry. I came home." Surprised, he responded, "What? Why didn't you tell me you were leaving? I would have dropped you off." "It just slipped my mind as I was so angry," I admitted, feeling remorseful.
"Angry? At me?" he inquired, his tone betraying a hint of hurt. Quick to reassure him, I clarified, "No, no, it's just that I ran into Mr. Rude in the exhibition." Understanding dawned in his voice as he guessed, "Let me guess, he said something to you."
With a heavy sigh, I recounted the entire encounter with Mr. Rude at the exhibition, explaining how his presence had stirred up a whirlwind of emotions within me. I genuinely apologized, "Can you forgive me?"
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line before Jungkook responded, his voice calm and understanding. "Hey, y/n. It's okay, really. I understand, don't worry about it."
Relief flooded through me as I listened to his words. "Thank you, Jungkook. I appreciate your understanding."
"Of course, y/n. Just make sure to take care of yourself, okay?" he replied gently.
"I will. And I promise I'll make it up to you," I said earnestly.
"Sounds good. Take care, y/n," Jungkook said before we ended the call.
With the weight lifted off my shoulders, I knew I needed to focus on making things right with Jungkook and not letting my anger control me in the future.

As I made my way back to the office after a much-needed five-day break, a mixture of relief and apprehension coursed through me. The past week has been a whirlwind of emotions, from the chaos of the construction site accident to the unexpected encounter with Mr. Rude at the art exhibition. Now, as I stepped through the familiar doors of the office building, I couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation about what awaited me inside.
As expected, the office was abuzz with activity, the usual hustle and bustle of employees going about their daily tasks. I exchanged polite nods and greetings with my colleagues, trying to shake off the lingering unease that had settled over me. It didn't take long for the inquiries about my injuries to start pouring in, each well-meaning question serving as a reminder of the events that had led to my unplanned time off.
"It's good to see you back, Ms. Y/n," Mr. Jin, my coworker, greeted me with a warm smile as I settled into my desk. "How are you feeling? Is everything alright?"
I offered him a grateful smile in return, appreciative of his concern. "I'm feeling much better, thank you," I replied, trying to sound as reassuring as possible. "Just glad to be back."
But even as I tried to focus on my work, I couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered at the back of my mind. The memory of Mr. Kim's unexpected appearance at the art exhibition kept replaying in my head, his mocking tone and insincere concern leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. I couldn't help but wonder what his intentions were, and whether his sudden interest in my well-being was merely a facade.
