Y/N's POV-

I paced back and forth in the bedroom, anxiety gnawing at me. Today, I was supposed to meet Jungkook, but the thought of Taehyung finding out sent a shiver down my spine. How was I supposed to leave the flat without raising suspicion? Taehyung would never allow it, especially after everything that had happened. But I had to meet Jungkook and also visit Oppa.

An idea struck me. If I told Taehyung I needed to visit my Oppa, he might let me go. Taking a deep breath, I picked up my phone and dialled his number. To my surprise, it didn't even ring once before he answered.

"Taehyung," I started, trying to keep my voice steady, "I want to meet my Oppa. I haven't visited him in a while, and I'm really missing him."

There was a pause on the other end, and I could sense the tension in his silence. "No," he said flatly, his tone leaving no room for argument. "You can't. Don't you understand there's still a threat to your life?"

"Please, Taehyung," I pleaded, trying to keep the desperation out of my voice. "I just want to see him. He's the only family I have left... I might feel better if I meet him."

I heard him exhale harshly, and I knew I was pushing my luck. There was a long pause, and I could almost feel the weight of his decision through the phone.

"Fine," he finally said, his voice tight with frustration. "You can go, but I'm sending bodyguards with you. And the car will pick you up. No arguments."

Relief washed over me, and I quickly said, "Thank you, Taehyung."

He didn't respond, just hung up abruptly. I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding, my heart still racing. At least now I had a way to leave the flat. But I knew this was just the beginning—keeping this meeting with Jungkook a secret from Taehyung was going to be much harder than I'd imagined.

The bodyguards arrived shortly after my call with Taehyung, their presence imposing as they knocked on the door. I sighed, already feeling the weight of their protective gaze as I grabbed my things and headed down towards the parking garage. As I approached the car, I was surprised to see a limo waiting for me, flanked by a small army of bodyguards. It felt surreal, like I was some sort of VIP, but I knew better—they were here for my protection, not my comfort.

Once inside the car, I took a deep breath and tried to focus. "Take me to the book cafe," I instructed the driver, hoping I could somehow still manage to meet Jungkook before visiting Oppa.

The driver glanced at me through the rearview mirror and shook his head. "Mr. Kim has strictly ordered us to take you directly to the hospital and then back home. No other stops."

I cursed under my breath, frustration bubbling up. Taehyung was being overprotective, and it was driving me insane. As the car moved smoothly towards the hospital, I thought about how to handle this situation. Jungkook needed to know I couldn't meet him at the cafe as planned. I dialled his number, but it went straight to voicemail. I quickly sent him a text instead, asking him to meet me at the hospital.

When we arrived, I stepped out of the car and entered the hospital, the bodyguards trailing behind me like shadows. Their presence made me uneasy—how was I supposed to talk to Jungkook with them hovering around? I texted him again, asking him to meet me in the hospital canteen.

As we walked through the corridors, I turned to the bodyguards. "I need to go to the washroom. You can wait here."

But they refused to budge, one of them saying, "Mr. Kim ordered us not to leave your side, not even for a second."

I clenched my fists, feeling a surge of frustration. There was no way I could meet Jungkook privately with them breathing down my neck. I headed towards the canteen, spotting Jungkook at a table. He smiled as he saw me, but as I got closer, his expression changed, concern clouding his features.
