Author's POV-

Jungkook was engrossed in his work, the quiet hum of his computer and the soft shuffle of papers created a productive rhythm. Suddenly, the door to his cabin swung open without warning. Annoyance flared as he looked up, ready to lash out at the intruder.

"Who the hell do you think—" he started, but his words caught in his throat when he saw the familiar face. Relief mixed with curiosity replaced his irritation.

"Hyung," Jungkook greeted, leaning back in his chair. "What brings you here?"

The man closed the door behind him and walked over to Jungkook's desk, his expression unreadable. Taking a seat, he leaned in slightly, his tone low and secretive.

"Jungkook, I have some information you might find interesting," he said.

Jungkook raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What's going on?"

"Taehyung is away on business today," his hyung said, a sly smile playing on his lips. "This is your perfect opportunity to meet Y/N alone."

Jungkook's eyes gleamed with interest. "I already knew that," he said, smirking. "Heard it through the grapevine. Thought it might be a good day to reach out to her."

His hyung's smile widened. "Smart move. This is your chance. Invite her out for a coffee or something. She's probably at home, and it's the perfect time to get her out for a bit."

Jungkook's lips curled into a smirk. "That's exactly what I was planning since I heard he was away. Perfect timing."

"Good," his hyung replied, matching his smirk. "Just make sure Y/N doesn't suspect anything. Be careful around her."

"Don't worry," Jungkook assured him, his eyes gleaming with determination. "I won't let this opportunity slip through my fingers. I'm going to snatch her away from Taehyung for sure, starting today."

Jungkook wasted no time, picking up his phone and scrolling through his contacts until he found Y/N's number. Taking a deep breath, he dialled her number.

After a few rings, she picked up. "Hello?"

"Hi, Y/N. It's Jungkook," he began, his tone casual. "I was wondering if you'd like to grab a coffee with me today. It's Saturday today and you might have a holiday today from work, so I thought it might be nice to catch up."

There was a pause on the other end. "I don't know, Jungkook. I'm not sure if it's a good idea."

Jungkook's voice softened, knowing he had to convince her. "Come on, Y/N. For the sake of our friendship. It's been a while since we had a chance to hang out. Let's meet at the book café we used to go to."

She hesitated for a moment before finally agreeing. "Alright, Jungkook. I guess I could use a break. I'll see you there."

"Great," he said, satisfaction evident in his voice. "See you soon."

They hung up, and Jungkook leaned back in his chair, a triumphant smile spreading across his face. His hyung, still in the room, mirrored his smirk. "You're on the right track. Just remember to be careful."

"Of course," Jungkook replied confidently. "I won't let anything ruin this plan."

With that, he stood up, straightened his jacket, and prepared to leave the office. Today marked the beginning of his calculated move to win Y/N over, and he felt a surge of adrenaline at the thought. Both he and his hyung were smirking, knowing that this was just the start of their scheme.

Y/N's POV-

I told Jungkook I would meet him, but doubt nagged at me. Should I really go? What if Taehyung found out? He had already told me not to meet Jungkook. I sighed, understanding Taehyung's jealousy, but Jungkook is also my good friend. Ignoring him felt wrong, especially after I left him at the altar on our wedding day. However, that was Taehyung's fault, not mine.
