[A/N: Happy Easter, everyone!]
TW: Uh, fighting... kind of. And disturbing dreams about bunnies.
Fintan's POV
"Ho, ho, ho! Merry Easter!" Gethen bounded into the room in a giant bunny costume.
"Wrong holiday!" I called back over my shoulder.
"Oops! Happy Easter's Day! Since you're not wearing green, I'm going to pinch you!"
"That's Saint Patrick's Day," Gisela strolled into the room.
Gethen's shoulders sagged. "What am I even doing? I don't know anything about human holidays!"
"At least you're wearing the right costume," Alvar pointed out.
"Who's ready for the egg hunt?" Ruy asked.
"Ugh," Umber said, "I can't believe you're still doing that. I thought I talked you out of it."
"You tried," Trix reminded her.
"You also failed." Brant grinned. "I'm so pumped for this!"
"Are all the eggs hidden?" I asked like the true leader I was.
"Yup!" Gethen said proudly. "I hid them myself."
"Then let the hunt begin!"

I ran out of the hideout, my eyes peeled. I needed to find more eggs than anyone else. I needed to get the prize–a brand-new straw hat. I'd picked it out myself.
I found my first egg in a closet full of cloaks.
"Hey!" I flinched when I heard a familiar voice. "I was about to grab that!" "Sorry, Ruy." I flashed a not-so-sorry smirk. "I got it first."
"But I saw it before you did!" Ruy argued angrily.
"Finders keepers." I pointed out. "Now get out of my way."
I'd rather not say what happened next, but I'll utter it anyway. Ruy attempted to grab my egg from me, but I'd anticipated the attack. Each of us pulling on the egg from either side, we had a silent showdown. A staring contest, if you will.
Then the egg broke.
Yolk was all over the place. Including me. I wore my favorite cloak that day! That was unforgivable.
Seething and covered in egg, I wiped the yolk from my face.
"Once I get my prize," I growled, "you're going down." Then I left threateningly and mysteriously. Or at least I hoped I had that air.

"Fintan? What happened?" Gisela gasped when she took in the state of my appearance.
"An egg fight," I informed her. "And I need to get my revenge on Ruy after I'm done winning."
Gisela looked at me skeptically. "Whatever you say, Fintan. I guess Ancient minds wander more than I thought." [A/N: The word "ancient" took me way too many times to spell correctly than I'd like to admit...]
"My mind isn't wandering!" I left in a huff. Even my own evil organization didn't respect me. I needed to have a talk with them once this was over. Their lack of respect was unbelievable!

Finally, the time of awards came.
Gethen was the announcer, since he hid the eggs and therefore didn't participate in the hunt.
"What amazing collecting!" Gethen announced. "Thank you to all participants."
He flashed a glare at Umber, who'd refused to take part in our epic activities. Umber shrugged carelessly in response and went back to scrolling on her Imparter.
"Who won?" I prompted. Gethen was never one to get straight to the point. Once he was in the center of attention, he never seemed able to stop talking.
"Uh, let me see." Gethen fumbled with the sheets of paper (marked with how many eggs each of us collected) we all had turned in. My impatience turned unbearable as some slips fell out of Gethen's hands and made their way to the floor. Gethen flashed an apologetic smile as even more fell. I resisted the urge to bury my face in my hands and scream.
"The winner is Geth–wait, no. Uh, Ruy."
I sprang up from my seat. That lying, cheating scumbag-
My inner monologue was interrupted by enormous applause. For a minute, I thought they were applauding me, the rightful winner. Then I saw Ruy lift his hands to the sky like a trophy winner. That stunning straw hat I so carefully picked out was placed upon his head. Ruy had won.
"Wait!" I called before Gethen would award Ruy his badge. "I object. Check his basket!"
The applause stopped. All eyes were on me. I gulped.
"Are you saying I cheated?" Ruy took a step towards me. His normally gleeful face twisted into a look of anger.
"Yes, I am!" I announced. "Can you stop me?" "Oooh," Umber said, finally looking up from her Imparter. "Fight! Fight! Fight!"
The others joined in. I mean, seriously, who raised these people? Wasn't me.
"We're not going to fight." I said sharply. "You can stop now."
That only served to increase their excitement. And their volume.
"Hya!" Ruy pounced.
I growled in frustration. I considered running, because Ruy truly was scary. Then I decided to play the game, too. I readied an egg. Then my world turned black.

My subconscious was swimming with bunnies.
"Happy Easter!" One waved, its voice echoey and form blurry.
"Ho, Ho, Ho!" Another bunny's voice cut through my head.
"Wake up..." A voice rang.
"Do you think he's okay?" A bunny knelt over a bunny who was lying on the ground, unable to get up...

"WhereamIwhatdidIdowhathappened?" I asked. My eyes shot open. "Get Ruy away from me! Save the bunnies!"
Gethen, who was still in his bunny suit, stood over me. He looked concerned. "Do you think he's okay? Is he even awake?"
"Yes!" I croaked. "Are you the bunny? Are you the bunny who needs help?"
Gisela knit her eyebrows. "Oh, no. Not again."
"Again?!"
The End >:)
