When he hugs me

Seiya is the kind of person that acts in the moment.

If he is in the mood for thinking, he will take a walk and try to come to a conclusion by himself.

If he is in the mood of fighting, he tries to get rid of stress and pent up frustrations.

And there are times in which Seiya is in the mood for a hug.

I was in my room doing homework, when I heard someone ring the doorbell. I rang them through and was met with my boyfriend "Seiya!" Smiling brightly, I gave him a tight hug and looked at his reddish brown eyes. He looked kind of worn out but still in a good mood. Taking one of his hands, I led him to my room "Do you want to drink or eat anything?"

"No, I'm actually not in the mood to consume anything." He admitted and sat on my bed.

I sat next to him and placed my chin on his shoulder, still holding his hand. When he didn't say anything for a while, I nuzzled his shoulder and whispered in a calming voice "Are you going to stay the night?"

He simply nodded his head and placed his cheek on top of my head, nuzzling my soft hair. It was clear how tired he was but considering the fact that he didn't look agitated or sad, he must have simply overworked himself.

I didn't know what happened but as long as I could be of help to him, I gladly lend him my shoulder. Taking a brief look at my unfinished homework, I pressed a light kiss to his neck "How about we sit on the floor? And once I finish homework, we can cuddle all we want."

Slowly, he shuffled to the ground and waited for me to pick up my stuff, so I could sit in front of him. Both his legs and arms surrounded me with his chin on my shoulder, simply watching me work. Seiya never went to school and he wasn't interested in my school work. But seeing how calmly I wrote things down and read my books, Seiya felt reassured that everything was alright. Closing his eyes, he breathed in my scent and simply rested for a while.

By the time I finished all my chores, Seiya took a brief nap before he noticed that I wasn't moving anymore. Opening his eyes, he nuzzled his cheek with mine and asked in a somewhat raspy voice "You finished?" I nodded my head and he gave me a tight squeeze "Finally."

I chuckled at his childish behaviour and placed my hands on his "Let's go to bed." I quickly turned off the lights before I laid on the bed with Seiya hugging me. His forehead was touching mine and his nose slowly nuzzled mine. For a long while he had his eyes closed as if he was asleep and for a short time I thought that he wouldn't awaken for that day. When I tried to turn, Seiya's grip on me suddenly tightened and he opened his eyes again. Chuckling, I nuzzled his nose and turned my body until I was laying on my back "Scaredy cat."

Sighing through his nose, Seiya scooped closer to me until he was practically hugging my side and placed his chin on my shoulder "You have school tomorrow, right?"

I nodded my head "Yes."

"Can I walk you there?"

I closed my eyes and placed my cheek on his head "Of course. You can also pick me back up." I was really happy that Seiya seemingly was content enough with his obtained peace, that he was willing to spend more time with me.

Closing his eyes, he kissed my neck and inhaled more of my scent "Is everything really alright with you?"

"Oh?" I couldn't really tell what happened to Seiya but he was surprisingly gentle that day. Grinning, I asked "Why do you ask? Should something have happened?"

A little of his energy came back and he pinched my cheek "Don't provoke me."

I squealed playfully, squeezing my cheek against his head, so he couldn't pinch it anymore "You are in a strange mood today. I can't help but try to lift the mood somehow. Normally, it's your job!"

Pouting, he buried his face into my shoulder and stayed like that for another while. I patted his head with the arm he was hugging and looked up to the ceiling, waiting for him to say something. Having sorted out his mind, he then told me "Today I fought a guy that had lost his lover because of the mistake of a saint. He tried to take revenge on Miss Saori but we subdued him, before he could touch her. Still... I can't help but remember the way he cried for his dead lover... and how lonely he looked when he was laying on the ground..."

Ah, so that's why he is so strangely clingy.

Closing my eyes, I remembered all the times Seiya had to leave Tokyo to fulfil his duties as a saint, fighting enemies without the guarantee of him returning to me. Sometimes I would lay in my bed and pray for him to find victory, only so he could come back in my arms, even if his body was broken. If there ever was a day in which he wouldn't return to me, truthfully, I don't know what I would do.

Would I resent Saori for using Seiya as her shield?

Would I hate the enemy that slayed my lover?

Or would I come to curse the world that chose our fates?

Feeling Seiya by my side, that fear was pushed back, so I would worry about it another time. But at that time I wanted to reassure my boyfriend that I wasn't gone, that death was far away "I'm right here where I belong, in your arms." Turning sideways again, I nuzzled the spot below his neck "And you are where you belong, right by my side. Everything is at its place."

Placing a kiss on my forehead, he had his chin on my head and closed his eyes again "If I die... would you come to curse the world?"

"Who knows." I never learned to fight or to use cosmos, so at most I would be depressed. But grief can change a person to become unrecognisable, so everything could be possible "There would be many things to blame. The people that put you at that spot. The ones who kill you. Our fates... What would you do, if I die?"

Not wanting to think about it, Seiya nuzzled my hair and whispered a promise, an oath "I won't let it happen. I will fight Heaven and Hell to keep you away from such a fate."

Smiling, I embraced Seiya's torso and pressed myself closer to his body "I will place my trust in you then, my dear knight."

Squeezing me carefully, he responded "And if I die... then I will fight to stay by your side. May it be as a ghost, a specter or a demon. I won't leave you behind."

Every time Seiya is in the mood for a hug, he tries to reassure himself that I was still there, right where I belong.
