If I was allergic to chicken

This is a request from @MylaByers.

Seiya has no allergies, which is why he was blissfully unaware that such a sickness existed. In fact, most people he knew had no allergies, so it wasn't that surprising that he never learned what an allergy was.

The first time I had to teach Seiya about my chicken allergy was when we both went to our first date at the beach. We were eating in a restaurant with a view of the ocean, when the waiter took our order and I told him that I was allergic to chicken. The waiter promised to take extra precautions and quickly left for the kitchen.

Curious, Seiya asked "What is a chicken allergy?"

"When you consume food, it is processed by our body and normally you can consume all kinds of proteins without worry. But there are people like me whose body can't process a certain kind of protein, which will result in our body triggering an immune reaction. In my case I can't consume poultry meat like chicken, turkey, duck... goose... If I eat poultry meat, it can result in me getting a stomach and chest pain, my body starts to swell, I get hives and in worst case scenarios my throat swells up so bad that I can't breath."

"You will choke?!" Seiya asked in disbelief and quickly asked the waiter to cancel his chicken order. I tried to explain to him that as long as he didn't get any chicken in my food that I would be fine but Seiya didn't want to take any chances and went with the same dish I ordered.

Seiya has a strange tendency to worry more about my allergy than I did at times. Ever since he found out that I couldn't eat any kind of poultry, he forced himself into the same restriction and told me that he wouldn't eat any poultry either, so that we could go through the same pains. Of course, I told him that I didn't mind him eating chicken or the sorts but he was quite stubborn. As my boyfriend, he wanted us to share as many meals as possible and he was willing to stick to other animals, just like me.

Safe to say that after Seiya learned about my chicken allergy, he rummaged through his fridge and got rid of all the poultry products he could find. Of course, I stopped him from throwing it away and luckily the Kido Manor was happy to get some free products to cook with. Still, Seiya would go into a routine in which he would check every product he was about to buy on whether it was made with any poultry or not. Even very obvious products like milk or yogurt. He is an over productive idiot but I can still feel how much he cares for my well being.

And since he had so much free time, he even went to a health class to learn what to do when someone had an allergic reaction. How proudly he told me about it on the same evening, he even claimed to always be by my side to save me from an allergic reaction.

Really cute.

Unfortunately, a time came in which I accidentally consumed a dish with poultry meat or at least it seemed to have come in contact with it. Me and Seiya were on a date at a restaurant when I felt a tightness in my chest and started to itch all over. Finally, realisation hit me and I was shocked to find hives on my arms. Seiya also quickly realised the grave situation and acted quickly. Fortunately, the epipen was approved for marketing by the FDA in 1987, meaning I carried an epipen with me and Seiya struck me with it, apologising for stabbing me with it. Paying the bill, Seiya then carried me to the hospital of the Grand Foundation and a doctor monitored my condition.

It was because of that incident that Seiya first swore to never let me eat in a restaurant again. He just couldn't bear the risk of me getting in such a dangerous situation again. I had to talk with Seiya about that topic for a very long time until he finally calmed down enough for me to take him back to the restaurant in which the incident happened. Though angry at first, Seiya chose not to take his frustrations out on the restaurant, especially because they apologised to me and actually looked into what had gone wrong. It took me much persuasion so Seiya would sit down and we would have another meal there without any accidents. Swayed, Seiya broke his vow but we still decided to use a middle way.

Once Hyoga opened his own bar, me and Seiya would be regulars to eat at his place. And we both trusted the Russian to prepare our meals without poultry. Of course, Hyoga would complain about us love birds bragging about our romantic relationship but secretary he was happy to see us well and happy together.

Fortunately, my chicken allergy didn't transfer to our children and whenever they wanted to eat poultry, my husband would take them to a snack bar we trusted. Still, when our children questioned me and Seiya not eating any poultry, my husband would explain to them my poultry allergy. As adorable as they were, they would follow my husband's steps and abstain from any poultry meat.

Such an adorable bunch of chickens.
