Hey dear readers,
Wishing you all a belated Happy Diwali! 🪔
As you know, I've been caught up with exams lately, which is why I couldn't upload this chapter on time. I'm truly sorry for the delay, and I promise to be more consistent moving forward.
But that doesn't mean you all get to skip the targets! 😤
If you complete the chapter targets on time—without assuming someone else will do it—it'll help me finish this book by New Year or February. And guess what? I've planned a whole series based on this book!
So if you want the story to continue and evolve, support it by smashing those targets!
🎯 Target for the Next Chapter:

If the target is completed within 2 days, I'll upload the next chapter on Sunday.
If not... you'll have to wait until the target is met.
Let's make it happen together! 💖

THIRD PERSON POV:
The younger clan descended the stairs, only to freeze in their tracks. The grand hall of the mansion had been transformed into a breathtaking spectacle. It was adorned with countless balloons, twinkling fairy lights, giant teddy bears, statues of Matt, and a special wall decorated with small photographs hanging delicately.
Drawnto the wall, they moved closer, captivated by the pictures. Each photo captureda cherished moment from Matt's life—photos from his birth, family events, timewith cousins, friends, and special occasions. As they admired the display,Isabella walked up to them and hugged Aure tightly.
(Her current dress is given above in the start of the chapter. The dress in which her aunt get her ready in.)
"Hey, baby, what's wrong? Why do you look upset?" Aure asked gently, holding her close.
"Aure, am I..... am I not looking pretty?" She asked, blinking her eyes rapidly, her voice trembling with fear of his response.
"Who in the world dared to say that our Bella isn't pretty?" Christian asked, struggling to keep his composure.
"M-Mom said I'm n-not l-looking p-pretty." She stammered, her voice breaking as she looked into Christian's eyes.
"No, my baby, you're always pretty—beyond pretty! You're gorgeous, stunning, and every word that means beautiful." Grayson said, pulling her into a comforting embrace.
"Really, Gray?" She asked, her doe-shaped eyes brimming with vulnerability.
"Yes, sweetheart. You're not just pretty—you're dazzling. Just look at yourself in the mirror, and you'll see how breathtaking you are." Ryan added, wiping her tears.
"Let's go to your room, Bella." Daniel said suddenly, exchanging knowing glances with the others. Without another word, they escorted her upstairs.
In Isabella's Room
"I'll be back in a minute." Ethan said before slipping out of the room.
"Why did Eth leave?" Isabella asked innocently.
"He'll be back soon, baby. Don't worry; he probably remembered something important." Isaac replied with a reassuring smile.
"Sweetheart, take a quick shower, and then we'll help you get ready." Isaiah said warmly.
"But Aunt Lyla already helped me get ready." She said softly, tilting her head.
"Yes, we know that, but now we want to get you ready. Pretty please?" Joseph asked with a sheepish grin.
She giggled lightly and nodded before heading into the bathroom. As soon as the bathroom door closed, Aure broke the silence.
"It's confirmed—we need to do something. They hurt our Bella, and we can't let that slide." The others nodded, their expressions hardening.
"What's the plan?" Grayson asked.
"You'll stay close to Bella and keep her distracted. Since you're the youngest, she might share things with you that she hasn't told us." Miles suggested, and the others agreed.
"While we execute the plan, make sure she's always away from them. They shouldn't be allowed near her." Isaiah added firmly.
"One of us must always stay with her. And... I've noticed something." Daniel said, drawing everyone's attention. At that moment, Ethan walked back in.
"Come here, Ethan." Christian called, motioning him over.
"Daniel, what did you notice? Do you think there's something we've missed?" Aure asked, knowing Daniel never spoke without a reason.
"She flinches when someone speaks loudly. She flinches when anyone unfamiliar tries to hug her. She even looks down when one of us raises an eyebrow at her." Daniel explained grimly. Realization dawned on them.
"Shit, how did I not notice that?" Aure groaned, running a hand through his hair in frustration.
"What are you saying, Aure? Speak clearly!" Christian demanded.
"I think... there's a part of her past we still don't know about. Something painful, very painful that she is not ready to share yet. And we need to find out soon." Aure said, just as they heard the bathroom door open.
Isabella stepped out in a bathrobe, her damp hair clinging to her shoulders.
"Piccola, here, wear this." Ethan said, handing her clothes. She nodded shyly and disappeared into the closet.
Translation: Little one.
"Everyone, acts normally in front of her." Joseph instructed, and they all agreed.
When Isabella reemerged, fully dressed, the boys stared at her in awe. Daniel led her to the dressing table, gently drying her hair and applying minimal makeup.
"Bambina, you don't even need makeup to look beautiful." Christian said, smiling at her.
Translation: Little baby.
"Why? Do I look bad in makeup? Or... don't I know how to apply it properly?" She asked hesitantly, her lips quivering as a tear slid down her cheek.
"Ohh! No, my baby, that's not what I meant!" Christian exclaimed, quickly holding his ears in apology.
"Then what did you mean?" She asked softly, removing his hands from his ears.
"I mean, my Pasticcina looks gorgeous even without makeup." Christian clarified, making her smile sweetly.
Translation: Little pastry.
The brothers worked together, choosing her earrings, footwear, and hairstyle. Daniel, the designated hairstylist, crafted the perfect look. After much effort and plenty of teasing they turned her toward the mirror. Isabella stared at her reflection, unable to believe her eyes. She looked radiant, almost unrecognizable, and she couldn't help but marvel at herself.
Meanwhile
In the study, Anthony Romano observed the scene through the security cameras. A knowing smile played on his lips as Eleanor entered with two glasses of wine.
"She's glowing, isn't she?" Eleanor asked softly.
"She is. But someone has stolen that glow before. I can't rest until I know who." Anthony replied, his voice laced with determination.
Eleanor placed a hand on his shoulder. "She's safe with them. We'll uncover the truth soon."
Anthony nodded, his eyes narrowing as he sipped his wine, the wheels of his mind already turning. They promised each other to uncover the truth soon.
