ISABELLA'S POV:
I'm so grateful for the gifts my family gives me. They love me to the moon and back, and every gift they give is precious to me. After a small ice cream party with my brothers, we returned home. Strangely, they didn't ask me to join them for the drive afterward. I was tired anyway, but the fact that they didn't even ask bothered me. Pushing those thoughts aside, I headed into the house- this house that feels like a home.
After settling in the hall, I went to the kitchen to check on dinner. I had taken responsibility for everything today and insisted that the ladies of the family take a well-deserved rest. As I walked back toward the hall, someone suddenly grabbed my arm and dragged me into a corner. I turned to see it was Mom and Uncle Dario.
Before I could say anything, Mom slapped me across the face, hard. Then, she kneed me in the stomach, making me double over in pain. Without a word, she walked away with Uncle Dario, leaving me standing there, clutching my stomach. I don't know how long I stood there before I finally gathered myself and went to the hall.
A little later, Mom and Uncle Dario returned, pacing up and down. My brothers eventually arrived too, with Bianca and Emma trailing behind them in bathrobes. After they explained the situation, we all went to our rooms to change.
When we reassembled in the hall for dinner, I noticed that Emma and Bianca had taken my usual seat, flanking my brothers. I didn't understand why, but it hurt to see them getting all the attention. Jealousy bubbled inside me, but I said nothing. Instead, I went to the kitchen to help the staff.
Deciding to eat alone, I settled at the small dining table in the kitchen. I barely touched my food when Ande's voice suddenly boomed through the house.
"BELLA!"
I flinched and hurried back to the dining room. After a brief exchange with him, I sat down between Uncle Dario and Mom.
To my surprise, Mom served me food herself, but it was filled with items I disliked. I ate in silence, letting the pinches on my thighs from Mom and Uncle Dario go unnoticed by the others. Unable to bear it any longer, I excused myself, claiming I was tired.
Before heading to my room, I instructed the staff to serve the fruit custard, jelly, and ice cream I had prepared for everyone. I didn't feel like eating, so I left for my room.
Sleep eluded me, so I took some pills to help. No one came to check on me. The emptiness of that realization hurt more than anything.

The next morning, I woke up with swollen eyes, a tear-stained face, and an aching body. After a long shower, I dressed in comfortable clothes and headed downstairs.

In the hall, my brothers were laughing and chatting with Bianca and Emma, completely oblivious to my presence. I sat quietly, feeling invisible, until Aure came in with a guitar in his hands.
"Good morning, everyone!" Aure greeted brightly, receiving a chorus of replies.
"I have an announcement," he continued. "Our Bella can play the guitar and sing!"
A wave of surprise and excitement rippled through the room.
"Bella, we'd love to hear you sing!" Ryan encouraged, and the others nodded in agreement.
After a moment of hesitation, I picked my favorite song-Till Forever Falls Apart by Ashe and FINNEAS. I poured my heart into the performance, letting the lyrics convey what I couldn't say aloud.
When I finished, the room fell silent before erupting into applause. Liam started clapping first, and soon, everyone joined in. Overwhelmed, I jumped into Liam's arms as he twirled me around, making me giggle for the first time in what felt like forever.
After breakfast, I went to my room, only to find my favorite guitar lying on the floor in ruins. Its strings were broken, the stickers torn, and parts of it scattered across the floor.
My heart sank. This guitar was a gift from the Aure-a symbol of his love and support when I first joined the family. Gathering the pieces, I noticed something glinting on the floor. It was a ring I recognized immediately.
I stormed downstairs, clutching the ring in my hand. Laughter filled the hall as I approached Bianca, who was basking in everyone's attention.
Grabbing her arm, I spun her around to face me.
"Why did you do that?" I demanded.
"Do what, Isabella?" she replied sweetly, though the smirk on her face said otherwise.
"Why did you break my guitar?" I yelled, tears stinging my eyes.
"I didn't break anything," she said nonchalantly, turning away.
"Don't lie to me, Bianca Conti!" I shouted again, drawing everyone's attention.
She turned back to me, her face a mask of feigned innocence. "I didn't do anything to your guitar, Isabella."
Furious, I raised my hand to slap her, but someone caught my wrist. Before I could react, a sharp sting exploded across my cheek.
My head snapped to the side, and I turned to see who it was. My heart sank.
It was Mom.
"How dare you raise your hand against my daughter, Isabella?" Mom's voice was filled with venom.
"She broke my guitar, Mom!" I protested, tears streaming down my face.
"So what? You wanted to hurt her over the guitar?" Mom yelled, slapping me again.
I staggered back, disbelief and pain washing over me.
"She's your real daughter, isn't she, Mom?" I whispered, my voice breaking.
Mom's cold glare was her only response before she grabbed my hair, yanking me forward.
"You've grown too bold, Isabella. I'll show you your place," she hissed, slapping me again so hard that I fell onto the nearby sofa.
Trembling, I stood up, rage and heartbreak coursing through me.
"Why, Mom? Why always me? Why am I the one who has to stop? Why don't you ever say anything to her? Why me?" I shouted, my voice echoing through the stunned room.
