Chapter 17: Arkus the dragon

~In the Sol Dimension~

Everyone was now in the Sol Dimension. Shadow was staring at Blaze. She obviously noticed but did like she didn't. Blaze started, "Ok so, we said that Rouge, you are going to go get my dragon from the dragon training H.Q.." She nodded. Blaze continued, "We said that we will be divided in 3 teams. A team that will reach the base from the sky, another from the forest, and the last one from the mines. Well, Christelle you can fly, so you're on with Rouge." She nodded, "Eclipse, Silver, Amy and Sonic, you'll go from here. While Infinite, Scourge, Shadow and I will go from the mines."

"But how are you guys going to reach the mines?" Sonic asked.

"With Shadow's Chaos Emerald." Infinite explained.

"Then why don't we just teleport to the base?" Sonic asked. Everyone looked at each other but shook it off. They forgot they could do that but they have been planning this for months already so everyone ignored the teleportation to the base. Christelle added "Plus if we teleport directly to the base, we won't have fun." Everyone nodded at her statement except Shadow who didn't even care about Sonic's question.

Blaze gave photocopies of the map to Rouge and Sonic. "you two be careful because I'm sure Eggman Nega has drones roaming free." Blaze warned. Rouge and Christelle nodded to Blaze and quickly flew high in the dark sky of the night. Sonic's team nodded and started to walk. 

Blaze looked at her team who nodded. They got close to each other, and Shadow whisper yelled, "Chaos... Control!" and they teleported at the mines' entrance. The team entered the mines and Blaze lit a flame in her left hand for everyone to be able to see. 

After few meters in the mines, the tunnel separated into two tunnels. "Uh, I don't remember which tunnel leads to the riverside." Blaze spoke as she facepalmed herself. So, the team had to be divided. "I'll go with Scourge." Infinite stated. Blaze nodded. Infinite and Scourge went in the left tunnel. Blaze looked at Shadow, "Well, guess it's you and me Shadow." She said while she smiled at him. He nodded.

~With Rouge and Christelle~

Rouge held the map because Christelle had a really keen sight. Christelle looked around to see if drones were around. Rouge was looking at the map then at the ground. "The map says that the dragon training headquarters are around here, next to the river. I can't see it!"

"Blaze said that it's outside the castle grounds. So look for it outside the castle grounds!!!" Christelle said as she still was looking if there are drones around.

"I know, but I can't see it!"

"Rouge, I can't help you now, I have to keep a look out for drones."

"Well, lemme keep an eye on drones while you see where the headquarters are."

"Hahaha! If ya can't even see the headquarters, how are ya supposed to look out for drones! haha!" Rouge gave Christelle a death glare. "Ugh fine."

Christelle took the map from Rouge and looked at the ground. She used her keen sight to see where the 'hard to find' headquarters are. 

They flew few meters more until, "Here the damn heck they are!!!" Christelle exclaimed.

Rouge looked at her mobian dragon friend, "Ya found it!?"

"Yeah! it wasn't so hard. Come on!"

Christelle and Rouge landed next to the entrance. They walked cautiously inside. Both looked around surprised by the design of the walls, white walls with golden texture stripes and patterns. After they walked around, they saw a sign on a huge door saying, 'dragon stables' and another one on another huge door saying, 'dragon training'.

"We gotta go find Blaze's dragon, so obviously he's in the dragon stables" Rouge stated.

"Say, I swear." Christelle said in a sarcastic tone while opening the door leading to the dragon stables. Rouge rolled her eyes and followed her friend.

When they entered, they were inside and at the same time outside. It was huge! There were trees and flowers everywhere. There were about seven dragons playing around. Only one was sitting alone depressed in his box. It had a sign saying 'Arkus'.

Christelle entered his box and kneeled down next to him. "What up little guy, whatcha sad 'bout?" She spoke. The white dragon looked at her with sad eyes. Christelle has telepathy, so she can read anyone's mind. She used her power to read the dragon's mind. Christelle gasped "Holy cow!!! Rouge! That dragon is Blaze's!". When the dragon heard Blaze's name, he stood up and started flying around. 

Rouge looked at him flying around with an open mouth ((Rouge's mouth was open not Arkus')). "He's so cute!!!" she exclaimed. 

"Hey hold, hold Arkus!!!" Christelle soke again, "We gotta go help her, that's why we're here." Arkus landed in front of Christelle and Rouge. His tail was swinging around. He nodded several times with excitement. 

The three flying creatures walked out of the stables into the main hall. They went outside and at the entrance were about ten drones and four robots. "Dammit!" Christelle and Rouge exclaimed in unison. Arkus pushed them and got in between them and jumped few times as if he was preparing himself for something. Arkus started to shake his butt as he showed his sharp teeth. He opened his mouth, and he was holding fire in it. He shot all the fire and destroyed all the drones and robots. He aggressively closed his mouth when he finished. Arkus turned to the surprised Christelle and Rouge, with wide cute eyes and his tongue out.

 "Oh yeah! now we're talkin!" Christelle exclaimed to Arkus. 

Christelle and Rouge got on their hands and legs and the three flying creatures flew in the sky.
